I have a Female Pomerarian Dog, white in color. Its from the Spitz family of Dogs. It is a real cute girl. She is with our family from the last 8 years. The only problem with it is, it sheds its hair twice every year, once during summer and once during the end part of the rainy season. Do you also have a dog? What is the family? Does it shed hair? Do you people have some remedy for the hair faill? Please let me know.

My granddogs were here a couple of weeks ago and left us hair all off the place! Brushing seems to be the only cure.

My dog does have hair fall. His hair falls, and a lot! But anyway, I think it's common for the dog to have his hair falling. And when it's the "change hair season" the hair falls like twice more!

We have had a couple of Pomeranian dogs over the years and mine did shed twice per year also. We usually groomed them during those times to keep the shedding down to a minimum by keeping the hair short. I now own 2 spoiled rotten long-haired Chihuahuas. They shed also twice per year but we groom them too during that time.

I have a male Pomeranian dog. He is a very cute boy also. He has been in my family for nine years in june. He sheds his hair twice per year also, but when he starts doing that, we get his hair cut really short and he looks like a chihuahua. He hairs out for the winter time and spring time only. During the fall and summer, we kepp his hair cut short because he sheds and pants alot. The only remedy for us to stop his shedding and keep him from panting so much is to get his hair cut short, but we always leave his fluffy tail.

I don't have any dog right now. I had one french bull dog. Coming to your problem. Usually the reason for excessive shedding is poor nutrition. As said before lamb and rice dog food tends to help shedding and so do added vitamins and minerals such as omega-3's. Another reason your dog maybe shedding is because it naturally does so. Some dogs such as schnauzers and other ones are known for not shedding whereas labs and others are heavy shedders. Hope this helps.
