Do you support any special cause or non profit organization by giving your time instead of money? I am a member & board member of two different volunteer emergency response teams as well as a volunteer with local law enforcement and county disaster services. Are you a part of anything special for the benefit of your community?

In these troubled times that is the only way some of us can give back. I too am disabled but not unable as I put it to help call people for donations for local charities or send emails to large corporations for donations of products for food banks in our area. The more you think your disabled by the lack of what you don't have the less abled you are to help. Everyone has a skill they can use to help somebody else even if it just calling a neighbour to see how they are.

At this very moment I am not, but once school starts I usually do a lot of volunteer work at the kids schools. I was also a Girl Scout leader for 6 years, and I really enjoyed that and am very sorry that I can't do that any more. I just donated a bunch of items to my local thrift store, and will be sending clothing to the donation boxes. So I am contributing that way right now. I am looking forward to the school year starting so I can go and work with the kids. I relly love that.
