First Check the power setting of your computer by going to the startsettingcontrol panel look for the power setting, an icon looks like a battery and plug. Check it, it might be in auto power off after an hour etc. Then after setting it up and still encounter the same, it might be your mother board problem bring it to computer technician.

i remember encountering a virus that restarts the computer after a span of time that it's turned on. it's called something like "brontok". check your task manager processes and see if there is a process running named "explorasi.exe". if there is, i suggest that you use an antivirus and an antispyware programs to solve your problem. just be sure that you update the programs regularly so as to make their scan engines and pattern files updated. scan your computer thoroughly by turning off system restore. hope this solves it. add a comment and tell me what happened.

it most probably is a hardware problem. You're motherboard might be busted. So you need to buy a replacement board, or as one of the responses say it might be a fan that is busted, your system might be overheating, hence it restarts. If you're not sure your best bet would be to go to a pc repair shop, or call a technician, if you dont' know how to tinker with your computer. But my best bet is that you have a hardware problem, and that always mean a replacement of the part that is busted. Hope this helps.

Well if it is simply restarting I really don't have any idea why it would be doing this. But if it is completely shutting off, you may need to check to see if the fan is still running. My computer was completely shutting off on me at one time and it was because the fan was burnt out. Good luck and I wish I had better advice for you. Have a great day/night.

If in this situation, i think shouldnt be any problem on the operating system site. It more related to the hardware condition.Based on my experience, it is more on CPU fan problem or Power supply problem. Change the parts and try if this resolve the problem?

I had a computer that did this? It was caused by a damaged/corrupted hard drive. Do you often get the automatic scan disk on startup? Try running the windows 'Scan disk' and select 'Automaticly fix file systems errors' and 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors'

Hi, first of all check whether you are playing high end games ,if yes then there may be cooling problem in your pc ,check its processor temp, surrounding temp, when your processor temp goes beyond the threshold temp ,it may be automatically shutdown to protect it from burnout.this is known as thermal protect feature.otherwise it is virus problem,or unstabe program is causing this.uninstall the unwanted programs, please boot in safe mode ,check the drivers video n audio.
