Okay to start with I will speak about my marriage it's nearly 8 years we both are together and 3 and a half years of marriage. She is a girl who gets angry and upset very soon and I'm a guy who is dominating and posissive. When her parents went to show her kundli (A report created on basis of person't birthdate and city of birth that is longitude and lattitude) they said we are not match as she is manglik. My priests said I WOULD DIE after marriage as girl has mangal in her kundli (Birth zodiac sign) Our pair will never be happy. And now as we are together from last 3 and 1/2 years I feel it was good that we didn't listened to those people and got married. So, my question to you is what is your zodiac? What is your partners zodiac? Does it matches? Are you made for each other according to your zodiac signs? If hindu and from india, are your kundli's and gunas similar or matching? Do you believe in astrology? Does it help you to know yourself or person in your life, friend and family better? (I think too many questions and you won't have any problem adding few words to your response.) Respond all about your countries zodiac system if your country has other zodiac system too as chinese astrology has.

I believe in astrology because it is a deeper form of mathematics. My zodiac sign is scorpio and I think my father did have an horoscope made for me when I was young, but I personally don't subscribe to these details too strongly. There might be the few great mathematicians who have honned their skills enough to study it and are honest to it,but the rest have commercialised it which didn't add to it's popularity. I read it only when I am curious and having an exceptionally bad time.I find most of them are generic and if you read 5 columns ,you could literally make predictions without getting personal, even if they are at a very superficial level.Hoever,I know that the real astrologers/readers are out there somewhere.

Yes, Even I think that there are few astrologers who are real good but many of them are fake and are doing this as a business just to generate money and source for their living. Regarding predictions some of them nearly say very common things which happens in everybody's life like you are a suffering child. You had many cheaters in life as friends and relatives. You had money loss. Now, I'm thinking of becoming a priest lolz.

Hi again Sam, Oh yes in your case this astrology chart seems that it was completely wrong. My zodiac sign is Leo, my partners is Capricorn. No it does not match. According to our zodiac we are not matched at all. Well some part of the zodiac is right what they said but on the other hand our marriage has lasted 26 years now. In regards to the Chinese horoscope my husband is a Pig and mine is a Rabbit.

I really like astrology. I don't know that I think it is all true but none the less i still enjoy my horoscopes and zodiac signs and all that. I like tarot cards too. I had my cards read and I was told that I shouldn't go back to my bf(we broke up for a short period a while back)but I did go back and we are just fine.

Hi Samrat, astrology is a science. I am not a astrologer but I believe in this science. We should not follow blindly without knowing it properly. I agree that it can't predict 100 % correct. Actually we people are influenced by different things. Planets/stars do have their own influence in our life. As per your janm Kundli ... if it is correctly written ( mind it it should be correct .. even a minute difference may have different result .. that is how it can justify the different fate of twins). Even then astrology can tell you the possibilities based on the forces acting on you. Generally astrologers consider big factors only, so they ignore the small things. Sometimes these small things ( like influence of pluto, natural satellites etc ), the predictions may be distorted. More or less ... good and well experienced astrologers can predict upto 80% for a correctly written kundli. I wish you all the very best for your married life.

Astrology is nothing but hocus-pocus. The stars that make the zodiac sign are millions of light years apart, but ancient people thought they were animals or gods. A majority of Sri Lankans believe in Astrology. But when asked why we cannot create the best army in the world by recruiting people who have long life, no one has the answer.

I do NOT believe in astrology or zodiac signs. I believe in God and also believe that I can trust Him and also have a good amount of control among relationships and daily happenings if I make wise decisions. I am getting married and my fiance and I have never even thought of looking at our zodiac signs etc. We just KNOW we are made for each other.

Libra - My star sign LIBRA for all it's worth!
Well your kundli shows that you guys wouldn't be a good match and that you would die after marriage? Erm you're still alive aren't you? You will die one day but hopefully not till you're well into old age and by that time you'll be ready to go anyway hopefully eh? I don't really believe in these things, I'm a Hindu born and raised in the UK. My parents sort of believe in this stuff, for example; my mother's parents changed her birth date when she was small as an astrologer said she would never get married if they kept that date, so they changed her age! Fair play to them if that's what they believed. My husband was born and raised in India and he is quite superstitious about certain things - I have refused point blank to have an astrology reading done for us, as far as I'm concerned it's not necessary and my husband, normal though he is, might start believing whatever these people say in the back of his mind, regardless of whether it's good or bad and I'd rather not take the risk! According to the zodiac system I'm a Libran and he's a Capricorn. I have no idea if our zodiac signs are a good match and I don't care! I will not pander to astrology but look at this what it says about my star sign (I quickly looked something up for the sake of this discussion) and my hubby's: "You may ignore, avoid or adapt to: Capricorn" LOL And his one says the same of me! It we took notice of that, where would we be?

I am a chinese, and the chinese do also have such beliefs that 2 zodiacs must match to have a happy marriage, particularly emphasised by the elder generation. However, I have seen couples who go against the 'law' and are still happily married. I believe in astrology and I believe astrology provides the foundation for one to be aware and more careful of what is going to happen and how one can prevent it from happening. We are in control of our lives, and can change what is 'fated' to be.

My first answer about your Zodiac Sign is that I am a Capri and she is a Leo. And as per astrology there is not such good relationship between these two peoples. They have different & opposite ideologies and point of view towards life. I would never trust on these astrologers, who they are to decide about our life? What is the authenticity of their claims? Do they know about themselves? Do they know about their future? There is just one truth - that you have to die one day! Just it.. and nothign else. It helps only with sick and poor mind. Peoples are who are not consistent and a good performer in their life. People who blames other for their sins and can not see happiness in toehr lives do so. I am not here questioning or raising doubts but it is just a matter of everyone belief. Just due to this belief we have different religions, different gods, different castes, different sects and different ideologies.

i can understand how you must be feeling right now since you have your marriage as a 'proof' but lets say you landed up in a totally new place you dont know the langauage custom etc etc and you get hungry so you walk into a restraunt and look around lots of people seem to be enjoying a particular fruit so you think fruit is safe enough and someone 'sign lang' the waiter to get you one as well but bad luck buddy your fruit happens to be the few around which is sour! so does that make everyother fruit bad?...Nope and astrology is independent of religion. THe poojas you are doing is b'cos you are a Hindu if a muslim or a christian should speak to a 'geniune' astrologer he or she wont be asked to perform puja proparbly asked to do something pertaining to their religion. Thats how astrology works. Its an art just like music, painting but you can put all your faith in it. A musican will swear by his music or music in general but that doesnot mean there is no supereme being above music...maybe for him music IS the superem being though LOL. So astrology cannot be mixed with religion. MAybe b'cos it originated in India people think its a 'hindu ritual' its not! Just like music, dance, painting, etc etc have no religion astrology has no religion as well. Seprate the two and you will understand better LOL :)

In Ayurveda there is one line. It says that the doctors in Ayrveda says that our disease is due to the insects and astrologers says that the disease is due to the anger of god. Regarding your happy marriage, I can only say that there may be mistake in your date of birth/time of birth by which horocopes prepared or your astrologer has no inner sight

I advocate astrology and have used it for over 10 years as a tool to uncover my own psychological makeup - which is what astrology presents. I place much less importance on the zodiac signs due to the earths eliptical nature. I do not use Tropical and put more trust in the Sidereal system. The factual knowledge that when I was born - 1st of June the sun was in fact not in Gemini but was in Taurus blew my little socks off. It also answered why all the traits of Gemini didn't fit into my life. When I became more knowledgeable I immediately stopped reading horoscopes which I found to be a load of rubbish. I then focused on the aspects in my chart and my life unfolded before my eyes. I discourage horoscopes and I will have nothing to do with conversations that start with "I am a Taurus, do you think I should marry a Scorpio, or am I better off with a Capricorn". These are useless statements. Unfortunately people are gullible and vulnerable and it's a case of a little bit of knowledge being dangerous. Girls who make decisions in their life based on Zodiac signs and newspaper's daily horoscopes is nothing short of dumb. I do not use astrology as a fortune telling tool even though this can be done. As with many things in life, windows open, opportunities present themselves and these opportunities do coincide with planetary alignments. But whether a person takes up the opportunity is another matter. I have been doing astrology professionally for several years and have used it in my own life as a tool for self-awareness.

I don't believe in Astrology, but I read my horoscope anyway. I'm an Aries and my husband is a Virgo. I don't think the signs are a good match for marriage, but we're going on 35 years together. I'll read the horoscopes for other members of my family, and their personality traits don't seem to match with their signs, and the predictions never come true. It's still entertaining to read, though

I do not believe in astrology but I love to look at the stars. I also do not agree with arranged marriages. But I have an friend whose marriage was based on the zodiac. He is happily married now with one daughter and another on-the-way. So the astrology worked for them or they were really meant to be together, or probably both. =)

i dont believe in astrology and any zodiac systems in any forms, but i do believe in my own intuition. Take me for an example, i didn't get married until travelling to another city. Long before that, i had had a vision in my mind: i would meet my future-in-love beyond my birth place just like a prophet once told me. This doesn't mean i believe a fortune teller, but i would like to remind you truly of your own instincts. Have some confidence buddy!
