In India the best brand is the "assembled" brand... U can get what u want... I use a primitive P-III 500 MHz, 512 MB SDRAM PC with XP pro... and of course Internet and mylot in it......

Would you believe that I recently bought an ACER Aspire T310 Desktop for only the price of a Pentium III Desktop. I was really excited coz this would be my first P4 cpu. The specs are tremedously okay! P4 3.0 ghz, 512mb DDR, 80 Gig harddisk, 128mb video card, with DVD Combo, and a built-in card reader in front.

i am using the brand COMPAQ.but i would say its better to go for an assembled configuration than a branded one. by that we can select according our preferences and what we want.in branded one we have to buy whatever is available with that pack.and we can't alter anything. for instance compaq is giving two speakers only.if somebody wants a better sound system with his computer then he has to add it later.it will cost a lot.so its better to buy it separately according to your choice.by that way you will get better things.but the fact is that you should have a good knowledge of which ones are good. i wanted to do the same but my papa didn't agree to it.his saying was that branded pcs will give better service. but its waranty period is only one year.after that you have to pay for services.so better not to buy branded.

I use a PC Siemens Fuijitsu that I bought in the year 2000, 7 years old now. I have two hard disks in it now, the original 30 giga and 80 giga added and it is modified and works pretty good. It never broke! I save the money I make on the net to buy a modding case, flashing naturally or maybe a new one. My computer is a Pentium that is very sturdy.
