Mine does, especially my mother about clothes, and she is getting on my nerves,
when someone tells you that you don't need something that means you don't need it. right?
Well my mother thinks that I am just ungrateful because I don't want bags of stuff that no one will wear at all, and that I have no place to put.
This place is only so big and my kids don't need piles and piles of clutter, at all.
And trying to force the issue on clothes is just plain mean is what I think.
DO you agree???
Or am I just awful as my mother implies every single day,

sometimes, there are situations where it is better for your mental and psychological health to just accept and not say anything anymore. i've learned this the hard way, believe me. my mom and my ma-in-law seem to come from one tree, i think. they both love to force on me their own beliefs on how to bring up kids. at first, i rbelled. even if deep down, i know some of their advice were good, i'd say no just so they'll see they can't dictate my actions. i was like this for the longest time and in the process, i discovered white hair and premature wrinkles sprouting everywhere. that's when i realized that maybe, i've been to hard on myself? after all, they were mothers, too and they just want to help. so, i relaxed. and, boy, what a difference it made on our relationships, on my physical appearance, on my moods and on my general well-being. don't get me wrong, i haven't given them full rein over our lives and they've come to respect my space, too, but everybody's more relaxed now and less inclined to compete with each other for power.
