Sleeping in the nude

I was wondering why do some people sleep with their clothes on and why others sleep nude? I sleep in my pyjama. Is sleeping in the nude provides comfortability for a good night sleep? For me, I ever slept in the nude once and I almost embarrased myself when my son just barged in to my bedroom without knocking. He almost caught me naked. From that onwards, I always wear my pyjama no matter how hot the weather is. So, does sleeping without your clothes/pyjama prove to be a better for a good night sleep?

Mainly sleep in my undies, I can't stand pajamas way too hot and sweaty. I just keep on waking up throughout the night then and want to rip them off as fast as possible.

I hate sleeping with clothes on. If I wear a night gown it usually bunches up in all the wrong places during the night and causes me to wake up. PJ's tops will do this as well and the pants never seem to fit right on me, either too tight or way too big. I sleep without anything on usually. Now in the winter if it's really cold I'll put on socks, my feet get cold and then no matter what I do I can't get warm. Socks help to prevent that from happening. Other then that though it's just me in the bed with nothing on.

Exactly. If my feet are cold I'm cold. It won't matter how much clothing I put on or blankets. Socks or slipper socks are the only thing that gets them warm. If they are warm I'm comfortable. It's funny how that is isn't it?

If I sleep with clothes on my husband somehow manages to get tangles in whatever I am wearing and I can not sleep at all. It is not a good thing to wake up not able to move because someone is sleeping on part of whatever your wearing. Plus when I am sleeping I swell a lot some times and my clothes get tight and that is very uncomfortable. So for me it less clothing means can sleep, but I always have cover over me so no one sees me. LOL

I have that experience before where my husband has slept on my pyjamas. It really irritating. I never heard about people swell while sleeping. Why do that happens?

Hello, ellie, I have never slept without wearing nay clothes. I think it may not be comfortable for me to do this as the temperature is not that high at the night time in australia, it is even lower than ten degree in the winter. At a night of a summer, the temperature is about 30 degree but i do not feel hot at all even without air conditioning,i even cover my body with a thin quilt, i think i will catch a cold if i sleep naked.

Hi easy888, I agree with you. Even though my country is hot and sometimes cold during rainy seasons, but I still prefer to sleep in my pajamas. Like you say, I too dont want to get cold.

I would sleep naked all the time if I could. I think it's much more comfortable. But, unfortunately I also have people coming in and out at random times so I only get to do it when I'm alone. But, I would do it all the time if I could. Clothes are soo overrated. *laughs*

Nope. Try it you will get cold the next morning. You dressed up in the day why go naked at night. Put on your silk pyjama and you will have a sweet dream.

I really prefer no clothes. Actually I have trouble sleeping when I have no choice but wearing something. And when that is the case all I compromise is a top - a t-shirt will do - and underwear. I get very hot during the night and even the covers bother me, often they end up on the floor. I was like that ever since I was a kid. I'm probably the only kid whose mom couldn't tuck in really tight at night LOL My mom new better, she knew all my covers had to be loose and that in the end they would probably would end up at the end of the bed all crumpled.

I have kids coming in my bedroom too, so I have to wear something. I've gotten to wearing those lounge pants and a t-shirt. So comfy and then I don't have to get dressed right away when I get up in the morning.

It is the best way to sleep because there will be no disturbances from clothes etc. Also I hope that those people sleep without clothes on will be able to remove sweat all over their body.

That happened to me too. Somebody just came in to my room without knocking. Well, it's a good thing, I have my blanket wrapped around me at that time so the person never saw me naked. Anyway, I guess, I'm not comfortable sleeping naked because I'm used to wearing a piece of clothing every now and then. Although, I admit to have done it sometimes. Well, it just depends on a person's preference. ^^

Not only do I sleep better but it's also good for you.Studies have shown that allowing your skin and private parts to 'breathe' is better for your overall health and well being.Me,I'm just more comfortable unrestricted. As for the son barging in,I just always kept a long t-shirt beside the bed that was easy to slip on.;-)
