Where will you travel to this year?

Most people like to take vacations (holidays for some) once a year. Will you be taking yours? Where will you go? Have you planned it already? Who will you go with? Do you like going on vacation with children? Do you take your animals?? Will you drive, take the bus, or fly? Or maybe rail. If you have already went tell about how it went. I will be going to Tucson in July But its a move not a vacation. I will take the bus to get there. I cant wait.

I actually just got back last night from a solo week vacation in California and I had a GREAT TIME....I'm planning on taking my kids in the summer (hopefully) and I'd like to take the kids to Ohio to visit family sometime this yr as well as myself, my husband and the kids to jamaica in the winter....HOW I get there depends on where I'm goin and whether or not my husband is coming with (usually he doesnt though)...The animals stay home (taking 4 cats and 2 dogs just woulndt work out too well LOL)

You are so rich, princess. You still haven't given me any candy money. I only go where I can walk. And no matter how long my legs may be, I can only walk a comfortable distance. I won't travel anywhere this year. I will just roam the universe in my dreams.

I have already got my next holiday or vacation booked and no guesses where I'm going! Spot on! My retreat, I booked it up back in February, I always go there in the Summer and I have booked 10 days, 10 glorious relaxing days at my beloved retreat by the sea. I just wish August would hurry up and come LOL! x

I'm afraid right now I don't have a vacation planned for this year as much as I would enjoy one, money just isn't going to allow for it. My youngest son is going to spend the summer with my oldest son in Colorado - little brother working for big brother. Oldest needs a good worker to help in his new business and as the younger has worked for him before when he worked for someone else he knows he'll have at least one good worker. I guess you could say I'm going to have the whole summer as a vacation - no teenager with an attitude around the house.

Yep was thinking that as well as cleaning house and having it stay clean for more than a minute, no being woke up in the middle of the night or having to stay up waiting for him to come home, not having lights, tvs, and sterios left on all day and night, and oh the savings on dirty dishes and groceries... I am going to have a good summer - but I am certainly not telling him that, afraid he'll stay home just to make my life miserable :( This one of those "I love him but...." Praising the Lord for giving me a break!

My husband and I would love to take our son to either Disneyworld or some indoor water park. We haven't really discussed it yet but it will probably be later this year. We love going on vacations as a family. My son is only 2 but he's travelled A LOT! We do have a dog and a fish but we don't take them with us! LOL! Our pets stay with the neighbours. We normally fly if it's too far but drive if it means we can save some money. Our furthest road trip is 16 hours one way! Blah! I'm glad to hear your excited about your move. Good luck in Tucson!

Oh probably go to Gatlingburg since we always go there and we will drive in our car it takes about 4 hour drive. Since my daughter is married now she probably won't be going with us. I have always wanted to get out of Tennessee and visit other places.

I have nothing definite planned. I might visit a friend in another state which is about 350 miles from me. Maybe in August or September. I might take the bus since it would be cheaper than paying $3 a gallon for gas. If I had the means, I would just take a long, long drive with no particular destination. Maybe head west and visit a few states I haven't seen yet.

Since you asked... For the past 7 Summers, I have had a deal with my ex-mother-in-law about my kids. She either picks them up(she drives from Nebraska to Oregon) or she brings them home, and I do the opposite. Last year my boyfriend and I drove to Reno to get them off the plane(they flew alone). The year before that, we went to Reno and I spent the day on a plane, from Reno to Denver, then back to Reno. This year my kids decided to stay home to spend more time with their friends so we will travel to the coast. There is no place I would rather be than on the southern Oregon coast, except Crescent City in northern California. But when I do travel, I don't stay gone long. We can't take our dogs, and that makes me sad. My puppy would love the beach. Not enough beaches or hotels think of pets as 'family'. I guess if more people were responsible with their 'family', people would take their pets more often.

Crud, all that and I forgot something. It is about 1500 miles one-way from where I am to where she is. I, along with my kids, have taken that trip more times than I can count. Before my last daughter was born the count was in the 30's, and I was only counting one-way. I lived there for a while and came home as much as possible. My point is, I think I've travelled enough for one lifetime.

I seem to remember you talking about that and being quite excited about the whole move! We tend to stay in Scotland for our holiday - we go to Aviemore every year and the whole family enjoys it! We drive up at the end of June every year and have a fantastic time withthe kids and our friends we have made over the years!

I am flying to New York in June. It was supposed to be Disney but my cousin suddenly became unavailable so I decided might as well go to new York. i have already booked my flight and hotel and I can't wait! I'm really excited because I've never been to New York. Mostly I'm excited to take pictures and shop. And then I'm going back to the Philippines in July. That means beach, beach, beach!

Yeah,i already planned before, this summer gonna be my second vacation to go back to my hometown..since i'm still a student, there are summer and winter holiday..usually i go back in summer since the winter holiday is to short.it surely,i fly with plane since this is between 2 countries..ouw..in winter holiday,i will go to other city, and spend my holiday there..usually i go with friends, and we will take the bus or rail..one,i've already visited is Guilin,China..i went with rail with the 3 of friends..it was really interesting,it tooks for about 5 hours to get there. Travelling with rail is interesting,u can see the scenery outside, for me that's awesome..since we not allowed to have animals ,better with friends^^.

My wife and I have a few trips planned... kinda like vacations, kinda like holidays. We're going to Southern California for Mother's Day for her parents, then we plan on heading to San Diego in the summer for their annual music festival, then probably either Disneyland of Vegas for Christmas after we stop by her parents' home. No children or pets, so it's just the two of us. If they are close like those trips, we'll usually just go ahead and drive.

We like to take a vacation but we haven't been able to do so for many years. We either did not have enough time to take off from work or we didn't have the money to go. I think we are going to try to take one this year because my husband gets two weeks vacation this time and our finances have gotten a a little better. We are thinking about going to Tennessee this year. We haven't planned it yet because my husband hasn't put in for a vacation yet and we haven't saved the money up for it yet either. I will go with my husband and my 15 year old daughter. I usually don't take my dog but I am thinking about it this time, but I am afraid someone will steal him when we are away from our room. We will more than likely drive down there. I wish you luck in Tucscon. I would like to move out of Indiana soon also, but it will be a while.
