Vive Ségolène, Vive la France!

Yesterday evening I could watch on TV 20 minutes of the meeting between Ségolène Royal and Nicolas Sarkozy. Unfortunately I live in Italia, and so I could see only 20 minutes. I was charmed by Ségolène. I was charmed with her beauty, grace, elegance and strength. I know it's very hard and difficult, but I really hope Ségolène Royal will be the next French President. Vive Ségolène, Vive la France!

my dear friend, unfortunately your favourite lost her battle but I can say that it is a good thing that a woman came so close to such a great position in a political race. this means that it is high time for women to be considered like partecipants of political life and not only ornaments..let's hope that women have more and more spaces in this field that it is of dramatic importance for our lives. It is not because I am one of those women who say that we can do everything better . it is a matter of equal rights!!

Yes Maribea, you are right, it's a good thing a woman could come so close to such a great position.... I hope that something similar could happen in our country too.... I don't think that women are better than men, but I think that in our society there are problems that a woman could understand and manage a little better than a man. I totally agree with you.

It's true, in some countries women could already be at power, and it seems that nothing changed.... yes, but even if one woman is at power, politics is always a "man affair", tons of male politicians are at power and only one woman can do only a little. I am not a sexist "on the contrary", I don't say that men are better than women, I say only that in our society there are women and men and that it would be very important to pay attention to the needs of both the sexes.

indeed right you are...ireland is a true example of equal right!!! Let's hope that the world will be as open as possible to women and that they and men would try to do their best!!!! let's hope that our politicians will learn again that politics is meant to take care of citizen's welfare and not of their own affair!!!
