That day we were very busy due to imminent marriage of my daughter, the gas cylinder not working, we were trying hard to make it work. Then I have lit a small paper and want to find out any holes are there from where gas is coming. It got fire all the over the cylinder, my sister in-law sitting near told my wife to close the cylinder immediately she closed it, like that we have great escape
only seconds from disaster, any body having the same type of experiences, kindly share......

Hah! An old boyfriend of mine used to light the gas stove for me, because I used to flinch so hard when lighting the oven.
One day he didn't have a match ready, an turned the gas on. I found him walking around the kitchen, looking for the matches with the gas running. I told him to turn off the gas, allow it to dissipate, and then find a match and restart it.
He got his matches, told me to shut up - that I was paranoid, and lit the oven with me standing next to him.
A giant fireball of blue flame burped out of the oven, and he slammed back against the wall, on fire. Then he started running around! I had to run to the bathroom to get a wet washcloth to slap on his face when he came around to my side of the apartment again! I kept yelling for him to stop, drop, and roll, but he didn't.
After a harrowing trip to the emergency room with his hand in a bucket of ice, the emergency room doctor would only wrap his hand with zinc oxide and gave him two pain-killers. We went home, and I made him a cold pack of ice in a ziplock, which he had to put under his pillow to rest his hand on. The boils on the back of his fingers were terrible..it looked like the Houston Astrodome!
For the next few days we treated it and eventually graduated to putting pure vitamin E on the burns, which healed quite nicely.
All of his eyebrows and upper eyelashes were burned off.
He was a funny but sad sight for a few weeks!
Long and short of it - if you're having problems with the gas, call a repairman and shut off the gas! If you can't leave the area and call the fire department immediately!!!

Yes, I have blown myself up in the kitchen, lost my hearing and my eyebrows, too... but it didn't scare me away from the kitchen at all, I love to cook, and nothing will ever change that! :)
