When I purchased my Dell computer I bought two power cords (and no, they were not expensive) through Dell computer so that I could plug in my computer everywhere, so if you have a brand named computer I would go back to the manufacturer to get yours.

We have a dell and we have bought extra cords from walmart and best buy and they have been expensive to me. I think the one at walmart was like around sixty dollars, and that is a lot for us. Then the one at Best Buy was about ninety dollars and that is a lot. I don't know how much they cost from the dell site maybe I need to check there as this one is about to go too. Plus we need to but a new battery... Seems it is always something.

Have you tried Radio Shack or CompUSA? They may have better pricing for such things. I am surprised you said Wal-Mart was expensive. I bet they were still cheaper than buying it through Dell.

you should try on dell' site, it will be your best option, good price and most of all, it would be a charger specially designed for your laptop, so it will last much more, and also with the battery will be the same
