Are you a spender or a thrift junkie? For your income or allowance, where does your money go?

I budget my mine right down to the very last dime. I am a single mother so there isn't always a whole lot of money that is available to be spent after paying all of the household bills. I usually spend the rest of my money to buy the stuff that my children need like new shoes.

Our money goes to pay the mortgage, rent, electricity, phone, insurance, cable/broad band internet, food and gas and doctor apointments and meds. If we have any over we will spend it on magazines, books, music and home improvement.

Lol, as a matter of fact the first thing that me and my partner argued about is me being a spender. I cant budget my money, mostly i spend my money on foods and for my children's clothes.

hmmm.. so you your partner and you argued because you are spending too much on food and children's clothes. that was more of a necessity right? or was it an obscene spending spree.

my income gets divided into rent and bills (water, electricity, phone, broadband, cable)-shared with my cousin, groceries, baby expenses(diapers, formula, distilled water, cereals), daily allowance. whats left are saved in a bank and some for emergency purposes.

Maybe a half of the money I will deposit it on the bank, and the other is for my needs

now that is good for you randy88. ideal saving percent from earning is 20% and you save 50%.

Nearly all of mine go for rent and food. I do manage to save a little bit. I rarely spend more than I make and if I do it's because my hours were reduced or something like that.

We usually try to save any extra money we have after rent for our home, food, and basic bills. I will admit, we do have some extra purchases every now and again, but there really isn'y too much we will splurge for. After our necessary spending, out money is saved. As far as spending, we try to save as much money as we can without sacrificing quality. If there is no difference, then we will go with the least expensive option to save us some money in the long run.

My money goes in all different directions- Mortgage, phone bill, cable, internet, daycare, groceries, savings, clothes, shopping, all over the place- Sometimes it even goes to lottery! I don't get any allowance- I wish I did- I'm 34- I should ask my mom to give me one- LOL I do give an allowance to my daughter- : )

I just opened a small shop last year so whatever I earn from this shop goes back to the shop. Sometimes I put money in to help pay the mortgage and house bills but sometimes this is just impossible. I learn to control myself from impulsive buying.

I put some in the bank and pay for my internet service. I don't spend much as for my hubby he uses his paycheck to pay the rest of the bills.
