Where did you go to?

Where did you and your S.O. go on your first outting together?
What did you think about it? were you nervous? or were you yourself? what did you talk about?
My husband took me out for our first date to a seafood restaurant - I presented him with a carnation to commemorate the day - that was pretty weird of me, now that I look back on it.
He made me so relaxed with his wonderful sense of humor that I did not feel the least bit nervous, not even to eat in front of him!
After dinner we headed to a mutual friend's house where we were invited to spend the evening.
On the way to the friend's house - the sky was black but covered in zillions of sparkling stars, he told me a corny story about how we only see one star at first and then another and another then suddenly the whole sky is covered. I won't tell you the story itself, but it was kind of endearing in an odd but sweet way.
at the friend's house Gone with the Wind was on the television. Every time the station would go to a commercial break and then again when they were coming back to the movie - they would play the music for Gone With the Wind (there were no words) well my dh would make up different words each and every time to go with the music.
At first it was hilarious...but Gone with the Wind is such a long movie, it got a bit tiresome after awhile...
shhhhh don't tell him I said that, okay?

This is going to sound really bad nbut I don't remember! We knew each other through work, so we were already pretty friendly before we spent any time together outside of work. We didn't work in the same place, but he would be obliged to call into my place of employment and I would see him then. Problems would often arise with one or another of his people, too, so I would often have to call him on the phone, so we were fairly natural with one another by the time we began spending time outside of the job.
I am sure he came to my house several times under various guises (cut up some firewood, fix a door hinge...things Icould have done myself but it was a nice excuse), and then I went around to his for a meal or whatever. We probably either went to the beach or antiquing, but I honestly couldn't say! I wonder if he knows?

I made my husband drive me through a mansion lined area of the beach in South Florida. I was trying to get us somewhere, but forgot how to get there. We ended up at another part of the beach, where we walked and talked quite a bit. It was night, so the moon was reflecting on the ocean. It was really beautiful. I found out later that my hubby almost ran out of gas on his way home. He had spent his last few dollars buying me dinner at a little restaurant by the beach, and with all the "lost" driving, he ran his gas down to almost empty. He was too embarrassed to tell me or to ask me for gas money. I still tell him he's an oaf and should have said something. I am not now, nor have I ever been materialistic. He could of just spent time on the beach with me without dinner and I would have loved it just the same. That is the part I always remember anyway.

OUr first outing was soon after a decision was taken regarding our engagement. We went on a long drive to his university where he had completed his MBA. I was not at all nervous as i knew i am with my life partner. During the way we talked and gave small kisses too. We ate together at the canteen, met his tutours and retutned back.

My boyfriend and I lived in different towns when we first started talking, but I was coming into his town for a dog show with my mom, and we decided to set something up for the first night I'd be there.
We went out for dinner, I don't even remember where, just that I had some sort of stirfry, and then had planned to go catch a movie. He forgot to check showtimes, so when we got to the theatre we discovered the movie we wanted to see started 20 minutes before, or in another hour, which would mean I'd get back much too late.
We opted to drive around a little bit instead. The town he lived in is really beautiful with a river flowing through and cutting the city lengthwise, so we went for a little walk on the beach until it started getting cool. We drove around for a little while longer, and when it started getting dark we sat on the hood of his car and talked, looked at stars and taught each other dumb foreign phrases that we'd learned throughout the years. It was a great first date.

My first date with my husband was when I was a junior in high school. We went to see a movie and had McDonalds to eat. I really don't remember what movie we saw, it has been too long ago. We went driving in the country afterwards, and through a state park and watched the deer and the raccoons make their nightly feeding rounds. Then, he took me home, where I showed him my doll collection, and we talked with my parents for a while. We were in the spare bedroom where I kept all my dolls and he got ready to go. When he stood up he seemed kind of wobbly, but he just said woops! and laughed so I thought everything was fine. As he was walking through the doorway into the hall, he collapsed and started having a seizure. I was freaked out at this point, because I did not know what was wrong. I got on the phone and called an ambulance and then his mom. Come to find out he had epilepsy, and I did not even know! So, after they checked him out and his dad brought his medication and he took it, things got better. My joke about it all is that he really must have fallen hard for me! Ha!Ha! Anyway, I will never let him forget it and we still laugh over it. He outgrew the epilepsy and for that I am glad, but it sure was a crazy first date!

Our first date started at the airport, as my future husband flew to my state and we spent a lot of time on the road. We talked a lot and had dinner at Denny's. It was the only place open that late at night. The waitress thought we were married and celebrating an anniversary. My future husband said we are celebrating and she brought us dessert for free and we left a big tip.

My partner and I have known eachother for several years, so our first outting wasn't really a get to know you session, it was more of a let's hang out and see if this can really lead to anything kind of time. We did a lot of going to movies and going to the mall and stuff.
I really don't remmeber what we talked about, but I know it really wasn't anything that major. Pretty normal, everyday kind of stuff. I'm sure we dicussed school matters, as we were still in highschool at the time.

That is so nice. On our first date we went to my spouse's aunt's place first then we went out shopping and rounded off the day having an icecream. But by six I was tired and the spondilitis pain was was too much to bear and so I wanted to return to my place instead of the walk in the beach which my love suggested well all in all we ended up arguing and me getting dropped off at home ofcourse we got married and are most happy (touchwood) but my love still talks about his first failed date very fondly! Thanks for asking :)

It was pretty much a drink thing after working a 12 hour shift at a power plant. We sat and talked and talked afterwards...it was so relaxing.
The next day, my rental car broke down on the highway to work and he saw me on the way to work, stopped and stayed with me until the tow truck came. Then we went to work in his rental, and we laughed the whole way!
We were pretty much inseparable after that!
He was such a wonderful man...I miss him so much!
