I didn't know that many comedians, but I always liked Rodney Dangerfield and Bob Newhart. Jeff Foxworthy is ok too. Bob Hope was good at times too. I liked the comedy from the 60's, 70's and 80's because it was cleaner and less offensive, I think.

Oh there's one I haven't thought of in ages, Bob Hope - I agree at times he was funny but he reminded me of a terrific one Carol Burnett.

I like Jeff Foxworthy and Robin Williams, and I have not heard of the others you have listed. My favourite, by far, is Rick Mercer. I don't think he does stand up, I don't know if he ever did, but he's really good. He's done a lot of shows in Canada, and they're always very funny.

My favorite comedians are Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, and Ben Stiller. I do like Robin Williams and Jeff Foxworthy as well. They're all very talented. I don't remember Lil Abner or Jerry Clower. Now I'm curious about them. Hee!

I think you may be a little confused. L'il Abner was the title character of a newspaper comic strip that ran until the 1970s. Drawn by Al Capp is is widely considered one of the first running political strips. Al Capp did do a couple of records on which he gave speeches to college students that were quite hilarious.

My all time favorite comedian is Bill Cosby. I remember many years ago when i first watched, "bill cosby, himelf." i laughed so hard my stomach hurts. He is a clean comedien and talks about life. It was sooooo funny. I also adore George Carlin, who isn't so clean but still life oriented. Robin williams is hilarious, but he has turned into such a serious actor. Lennie Bruce was the original. And Richard Pryor was fantastic. Even Cheech and Chong made me laugh.

Yes, I used to love the Carol Burnett show with Harvey Korman and that other funny guy whose name I can't recall. I think he was in Gomer Pyle. It was great.

My favorite it George Carlin. I like stuff done by Lewis Black and I remember seeing a show of a Howie Mandell performance and it was one of the funniest shows i've seen.
