Is your friend notifier on or off?

I was going through my friends list and I was surprised at how many the notifier was on "off". I thought I had turned them all on, so I just want to remind everyone to check once in awhile to make sure your friends notifiers are set to "on" so you can be notified when they post a new discussion.

Mine are all on - a month or so ago when myLot was doing some changes several members including myself found out that our friends had been turned off - we had to go in and turn them all back on. It's just so much easier for me having it on rather than searching and trying to find my friend's discussions - my friends discussions are always the first I respond to.

So true Faith. I depend on being notified of new discussions, there is just no way to keep up by tracking them down one by one. It is such a great help to have the notifier on. Thanks for sharing with me :) Have a great week!

Mine is on- I go and check every so often- I figured out a way to answer discussions at work- My workplace blocked the site online for the adult content- So I turned on my notifiers and I check my e-mail and respond in word. Then I plop in my responses when I get home- So I check my notify on every week to be sure I’m getting all of my friends discussions. That what friends are for right? To answer each other! Thanks for the reminder!

I don't have all my friend's notifiers on. I would get overwhelmed with notifications. But I do check to see if new discussions have been made. I have about 12 friend's notifications on, and after like a week, I turn those off and turn on 12 different people's notifications to strike a fair balance.

It is kind of strange. I know different times I made sure most of them were on. Then a few days later I would go back and check on them, and they were off. I am wondering if they are interactive. I am wondering if I can turn them on and if the other person wants them off, they can turn them off from their side.

At one time I had a situation that my notifier's kept going "off" even when I do not turn it off. It was a glitch. I think it also may be that that friend may have turned you off, if they feel like they get too many notices. I do not see the point in having friends if that is what you are going to do.

I have most of my friends on notify, there for awhile my life was too hectic to have all my friends on notify (I have over 200 friends, maybe more ..) but I do enjoy getting the emails to my inbox and respond that way instead of browsing and looking for discussions, I find I answer many more.

When I am going through my monthly deletion of inactive or non responsive friends I check that the remaining ones are all on.

This would be hard for me since I have close to 100 friends (If not more, I'm not quite sure.) I would always be responding to tons of discussions! For me it's not so much of a big deal that I respond to my friends discussions...I just want to respond to discussions that I find interesting. I don't want to feel obligated to respond to one's that dont interest me.

That is a very good idea. I try to turn mine on immediately whenever a new friend is added to my list. Sometimes I forget but most of the time I remember right then.
