Supposedly Paris Hilton will be making a reality TV show. So do you watch reality TV? Is it really "reality"? I thought they make the people on their do certain things so they make it look more interesting! Which reality TV shows do you watch? What channel are they on and at what time? If you don't watch reality TV, why? What other shows do you watch instead?
Thanks for your answers and I will wait for your replies.

Wow, that is a lot of shows, how do you make time in your day to watch them? Do you tape them with Tivo or the VHS? I am sure I wouldn't remember all those times when they come on. Hehehe.

Okay, have you considered Tivo? My brother says he loves it, but I just don't have the extra money to pay for the subscription fees. Yea, I was thinking you must tape some of those shows because there are just too many to watch :)

I do have to admit that I watch quite a bit of reality TV, but I know that its not really "reality" too either. I mean come on they wouldn't be doing certain things if they weren't being taped or maybe even told what to do.
I watch Big Brother, Real World, The Hills, Laguna Beach, The Amazing Race, & some others like Deadlist Catch (which is one that I actually believe is what actually happens without the added drama).

A lot of the times I don't catch them until they do marathon days of them, like the shows on MTV. Others are on at varying times where it is easy to catch them or tape them if we so choose.

Oh yea, those marthon days are nice, you are right about that. I like how they can just play the series or episodes back to back. Do you have a Tivo? You can record the episodes then, right? Have a nice day.

Wow, those are a lot of shows. How do you find the time to watch them? Do you tape or use Tivo and come to watch them at a latter time? My sister in law loves various shows and she will watch them when she has free time. I think that is a good idea if you really like certain programs. I used to do that when I really liked a few programs (they don't interest me any more).

No I don't watch reality tv like big brother or anything like that. I think it's a waste of time, when there are better things to do. I only watch the tv that I really like and then I turn it off and listen to music, the radio, read, play computer games or talk on the internet. The only reality show I watch (it's not really the same) is called Dragons Den, and it is a short half hour episode where inventors try to get backing for their business idea.

Cool, yea I don't watch too much reality TV either. What channel plays Dragons Den? Is it in the USA or is it in another country. I like listening to the radio as well, I love to listen to the radio.

I'm not enjoying watching reality tv shows, like game shows and others... except for Big Brother. I don't know why I find it intersting. It makes me want to stay awake late night.

Big Brother can be interesting. Why don't you like game shows? I think those can be interesting, but I know that some people don't like them. Which Big Brother do you watch?

I love "reality" shows. BUT I don't think I can take much more of Paris Hilton. I love "Big Brother," "Dancing with the Stars," "So you think you can dance," "American Idol & Canadian Idol," any of the reality shows just add a more human touch to your viewing.

I like how they are different from series that are scripted, but I don't like them because I think the programs are just trying to get reactions from the people on there by having them do certain things. How do you find the time to watch all those shows?

That is cool that you tape the shows. I am sorry, I meant that reality TV is different from scripts. Well, 4 hours a weeks isn't much so you are good. It depends on the week, sometimes I watch about 6 hours a week, sometimes zero hours a week. Sometimes I will watch about 10 hours a week. Like I was saying it just depends, but I usually watch around 6 hours per week. We even have cable, but I don't watch it that much.
Which island do you live on? You use VHS tape or TiVo?

These are not scripted shows, with actors/actresses following the program, so they tend to be a little more "off the cuff." I find time to watch these shows because I tape them. Very few of them are on in my viewing area at the same time. I live on a small island where we do not have cable...so am victim of what the local networks are available. I spend so little time watching TV, about four hours a week, so why not watch something you like. We DO NOT have any of the NEWS/SCIENCE/NATURE, etc., programming that most folks get with cable, our alternative is satellite dish. I fear that I might become a "TV junkie," so I don't have a dish. I love the scenery in Survivor .. takes me to places I'll never get to. I find I can interact, thinking what I would do under same circumstances. The only other show we get that I really love is "Nature of Things" by David Suzuki, and I guess you would call it a reality show, too!

I do watch "some" reality tv..but not all.. I think some reality tv has something to teach us.. I like the "apprentice" it teaches business encounters. Survivor..it teaches what we have to do if left without anything to survive..etc.

Yea, sometimes it is good to watch if there is nothing on. Do you like the activities they have to do on Survivor? I mean, the games and tasks? Sometimes I think they are made to do them just so it looks "interesting". Have a nice day.
