Grammar, spelling, and blogging

I've noticed that people tend to not care much about their grammar and spelling in things belonging to the internet (ie. blogs, message boards, im). Most of the time I ignore it, as my own spelling/grammar isn't the best either. However it seems to be getting worse and I fear it will begin to trickle over to the written word. It especially irks me when the poster is trying to write an intelligent thought, but the writting of it makes it less so. Is this something that should be attended to or ignored? If we're to ignore it, why and is that just setting the stage for it to get worse?

what's more important is the content. Sometime we can just ignore the grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes. If the person is making the errors over and over again, well he or she should take initiative to improve his or her grammar. Attend the english class will be good.

That's something that bothers me. My daughter as a special code to writte on internet and cellphone. I always said her that I don't think that another way of writting is good in order to achieve writting skills.
