I personally don't mind it, but I fell like certain restaurants don't encourage it. For example they only have big tables or they say single people can only sit at the counter. Do you guys find that?

I don't mind eating alone or doing things alone. I'm a loner and i do sometimes prefer to be alone. And when i go out to eat alone they will usually ask if i'd mind sitting at the counter if not then they have booths for two people that i would prefer to sit at then the counter. I used to do alot of things when i was younger alone, I went to the movies by myself, i'd go on Vacation by myself. It's awesome I'd really prefer to eat alone then with people ;) but that's just my opinion.

I haven't eaten alone in restaurants too often. If I was encouraged to sit at the counter, I would definately object. When I dine at home, I sit at a table and that is where I would want to sit if I were dining out.

I actually don't mind eating alone, I've done this a couple of times but only in fast food restaurants, never in the casual dining type. I do feel self conscious when I eat alone and I think I'll always prefer somebody to eat along with.

I don't like eating alone in a restaurant, uless it is a fast food place, and even then I like to have something with me to read, even if it's only a newspaper. I just get the feeling people are staring at me.
