My son is nearly 3 years old. Would you please tell me what is the best toys for this age? There are so many toys, and sometimes it's hard to know which is good for him. Thanks!

Kids these days have so many toys - most have far too many. So many of the toys do not stimulate their imagination much either. I have two sugestions for you: Lego builingblocks and a good book

children at this age have great imaginativeskills.ive personally seen my younger sister trying to act as a teacher nearly at that age.its time not to confine his skills to building blocks.its better if you ge him crayons, and other art and craft stuff .that can keep him busy, happy and intelligent.and most of all he needs your interaction and encoragement especially in learning and playing.make him come out and play, cause that is one art being extinct among todays children. thankyou for the question

I think first it depends on what type of things he likes to do. I would try to get something that is related to that. In my daycare, all of my boys love hot wheels and blocks. Those are the two hot items. They are the toys that the boys play with the most. With the blocks, they get very creative and use their imagination. They are always building towers, or bridges or something else that involves building something high and then knocking it all down.

Outside toys are great for encouraging exercise and large motor development-and running off some of that energy 3yos are famous for. For inside play, my favorite is art supplies. Most kids are thrilled with a big box of construction paper, crayons, markers, scissors, glue, stickers-whatever you can find to toss in there. It's a great way to entertain them on rainy days, if a bit messy (my own living room looks like a tornado came through it right now)

Perhaps you could try to buy something that could stimulate his developing mind. If you could observe that he seems to be musically inclined, for instance, try to buy him a mini guitar, keyboard, flute, or the like, if your means permit you to. If he seems to be quite sporty, on the other hand, try to buy him a soccer ball, goggles and swimwear, or whatever equipment/materials, which could help him excel in his chosen sport. I hope my response could be of help.
