Government hiding the Ion Drive? No..... That's been all over tv. Do they have one big enough to go to the nearest star? I don't think they're contemplating that yet. Why? What drive are you thinking about?

this drive uses no fuel, ever wonder why the lights of a ufo counter rotate, or throb, or why most look like glowing orbs. excessive amounts of magnetic flux being dissipated into the atmosphere. what is lightning, clouds building a charge of magnetic flux, and when discharged displays bright light, and how fast does it travel. light speed. i'm not saying we could harness lightning, only that we can produce a like power condition, that could be used as a drive source of power. consider the gyroscope. what keeps it spinning, weight, and yet gravity has little effect on it, other than keeping it level. take 2 tops and spin them in opposite directions, do they avoid eachother or attract? take our world, does the direction of spin effect it's global magnetism. take 2 plates from your kitchen cupboards and spin them on top of eachother with a film of lubricant to reduce friction. the top plate will spin but through friction will eventually stop.now take those plates and replace them with counter rotateing inversely powered electromagnets, somewhat like the drive systems on amusement rides. the faster they spin the faster they spin. now surround the counter rotateing plates with a flux collector. when you spin magnets they give off what is called a flux. the same as what the earth produces as it spins , now reverse the polarity of the flux and give it direction like takeing 2 magnets positive to negative. what happens/ they attract. turn them around and what happens, they repell. by useing the attract/ repell feature of a magnetic drive system. and the use of directional controls of that flux, one could possibly use the planets flux as a mode of travel

The History Channel did a special on Star Trek technology. I thought it was amazing that every sliver of technology from the original Star Trek has made it to some researchers testing table up to and including the Transporter.

The ion propulsion was used to send that satelite to Saturn (I think that's right)my memory doesn't serve me to well these days. Warp drive takes the power of 10 suns in order to create a warp bubble and that technology is far awayyyyyyyyyyyy. As I see it,light itself makes the best drive to get anything to move through the heavens. The possibilities are endless as to how we would travel through space. Which brings me to asking this question; If you were in your car, with your headlights on,traveling at the speed of light, would there be lightbeams? If'n the government of these United States is hiding a drive from the world, I would say, "Oh,well" that isn't the only thing. Oh,yeah what about radio?

I read somewhere that if someone told the Japanese government that we discovered a far away planet that was populated by giant tentacle-covered monsters whose females were Japanese school girls, we'd have warp drive under a week ;) Seriously though, I've been reading through some of the info in Wikipedia regarding warp drive, it is a scientific possibility, except I think there's some issues with causality and temporal mechanics, but it uses the idea of putting a ship inside a bubble of space, and then warping the space around that bubble, so that the ship itself doesn't violate the almighty matter-can't-travel-faster-than-light law. Quite interesting really. 'Shady
