I've been thinking for years of getting a tattoo. I would like one of the loves of my life...one of my pointing dogs. Now...what do you think of the idea of tatoos? Will I regret it later in life?

when you get to be 70, and everything is drooping what is your tattoo going to look like? Think before you get one. No matter where or what kind, its permanant, You have to live with it until you die.I used to be a nurses aide, and I've seen people with tattoos. after the skin starts to stretch and droop, they are just ugly. Get a temporary one made of henna, or airbrushed on and see what it looks like before you consider something so drastic as permanent disfigurement.

If you are the type of person that tires of things quickly I would definitely say no. If you buy a new shirt that you love and wear it everyday and you find it a month later in the bottom of your drawer, two months later in a pile of stuff you want to give away then you are going to feel the same way about the tatoo. The only problem is that tatoos are permanant and there is nothing you can do, you are stuck with this for life. If however you are the type of persons that loves, cherishes, and hangs on to things merely for their sentimental value then by all means go for it! This tatoo will be come one of your little 'treasures' that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. I don't have a tatoo but I have a scar that I received from my cat. When he was a kitten he jumped up onto the stove while I was making tea for a friend and I. I lunged toward the stove a millisecond to late and got a little lash on my arm. It scarred quite badly but somehow I didn't mind because it was from my precious angel kitty. That was also the last time I saw my friend. You see it was one of our last visits before I moved away to Los Angeles. Last summer he was killed in a car accident coming home from a gig in Owen Sound. When I heard the news the first thing I did was to touch my scar from that evening. It marks a memory of the last time I seen my friend. You know the decision in your heart. This is not just a t-shirt or a pair of shoes, this is something that will be a part of you for the rest of your life. It will be a timestamp you will be able to contemplate forever.

Also a good point! I'm a Gemini, and get really bored of things easily.

I have tattoos and I've never once regretted getting them. Go for it, you only live once.

So far you do not make the tattoo to be big enough to show out all the time or to be exposed even when you wear a shirt. I don't think you have a problem wearing a tattoo especially the one you talked about.

think about it when you age, and have wrinkles. Is that tattoo going to look like a work of body art, or are the wrinkles going to turn it into a horror picture.

Oh that depends on your perspectives...For me, I don't like someone who has tattoo because I just have that impression that when you have a tattoo, you are a bad guy already...LOL I have seen a lot of people who have tattoos came from prisons that why i view people who have tattoos that way... But if you really like tattoo, then it's all up to you...It's your life anyway...LOL

I think you should definitly get one, the only advice I would give you is make sure it is something you are 100% happy with. Make sure your happy with the colors, the writting, and the whole design itself because once its on you its not coming off (unless you have lots of money to get it removed) So yes go for it..if your really happy with the tattoo you wont regret it one bit.
