This David's Star was said to be a sign of the devil. I actually dont know why it was linked to such theory. They say that the start 6 sides symbolizes Satan. And they also said that there are CARTOONS or ANIME who use this star as one of their MAIN symbols. Those that use the symbol usually get very popular or is well acknowledge. I dont know if its true or it is just the work of their competitors who are losing in terms of the ratings. If it is true then Chirsmas Lanterns with 6 sides should also have the same meaning??? What do you think? Is this just a rumor or true?

I am a christian, and old, lol. There have been stories about all sorts of symbols being evil or satanic for as long as I can remember. Do some of those symbols exist? Yes, they do, and yes they do pervert some christian symbols too. A great many of the people walking around wearing a cross haven't really got a basic understanding of what it means to those of us who value it as a symbol of our savior's sacrifice. And I do not believe that the LORD is going to condemn you for having accidental contact with some kind of symbol. Do not seek them out, but do not be overly disturbed by their presence in this world either.

I think you are right when you said, "I do not believe that the LORD is going to condemn you for having accidental contact with some kind of symbol". Yes, if you are not aware of what's their meaning. But living in today's information age, with information about Kabbalah and Star of David readily available on the Internet, it is impossible you will learn about the truth of Star David in your lifetime! That would be a perfect ignorance! Let's take for example, information about Star of David from Wikipedia and Answers.com: http://www.answers.com/topic/star-of-david-1 "("Shield of David"). Jewish symbol composed of two overlaid equilateral triangles that form a six-pointed star. It appears on synagogues, tombstones, and the flag of Israel. An ancient sign not much used by Jews before the Middle Ages, it was popularized by Kabbalists for protection against evil spirits. The Jewish community of Prague adopted it as an official symbol and its use became widespread in the 17th century. Though it has neither biblical nor Talmudic authority, it became a nearly universal emblem of Judaism in the 19th century. The Nazis' use of it to identify Jews invested it with the symbolism of martyrdom and heroism." Based on the information above, it is clear it is not an original Jewish stuff. They just adopted, and they adopted it disregarding where it came from, if it is from Pagan belief or from original Godly belief. You see? We all know, Kabbalah is magic to them. And the writings of the Bible strongly oppose magic. God through the Bible labeled magic as something of evil. It is very possible some evil people have infiltrated their ranks, the Jewish ranks, and inserted the doctrine about Star of David. With all these truth, I am wondering why people are still in denial?

You know the meaning of "ignorance". It is when you ignore the truth. It is impossible you will not learn about the truth of Star David in your lifetime! Star of David is clearly known to have some association with Kabbalah or Jewish magic, and the Bible strongly oppose magic!

I suspect the association of the Star of David with satanism is based on anti-semitism. Even if a symbol IS used in other religions (as pagans use the pentagram), we as Christians have nothing to fear from a shape on a piece of paper or jewelry.

I also wanted to add that we have nothing to fear from pagans or practitioners of any other nonChristian religion. The stories of witches sacrificing children etc. are made up, and take the focus off where it should be for Christians, which is living as Christ did and would.

This is the first time I've heard of such a thing. To me, David's Star is just a symbol of Judaism. I think maybe you're mistakening it with the pentagram, a five sided star which is often associated with Satan. As for anime or whatever else using it as a symbol; I don't mind, to me they are just images. I don't think it affects their popularity. Especially in Japan (the origin of anime), where Christians make up less than 2% of the population, I don't think associations with the devil matter at all. If these symbols affect the popularity at all, it's that their easy to imitate and recreate, therefore giving the anime some sort of gimmick to connect to its audience. And Japan itself, I think when viewed from an American point of view, is a very controversial culture; there's some uses of the nazi symbol for example, as a costume prop or fashion accessory for anime characters and some rockstars. It's just a symbol, a picture, an image, and isn't always used to express any meaning of its representation. In other words, I'm saying, maybe it's just for visual value, for the sake of aestheticism.

The Star of David is a symbol of the Jewish Faith. It is not a sign of Satanism. I believe you are thinking of the Pentacle..which is wrongly categorized as well. The pentacle is a symbol of Wicca/paganism (which you can find plenty of info about on here) It has nothing to do with Satan. Anyone that says it is most likely just trying to be controversial and force people to believe something that is not true. The Star of David has been representing the Jewish Faith for long before the birth of Jesus.
