How do you recognise your friends here

Same with you I usually see it by their avatar but sometimes some of them keep on changing their avatar for whatever reasons. I just kind of used to their name so I remember a few. But the best way to recognize them is to response on discussions started by your friends and all the members there are absolutely your friends without a doubt.

I always notice the name first. The name and avatar goes hand in hand. Ofcourse the avatar has already become the brand to the user and an instant change will not captivate my instant attention.

I too tend to remember friends by avtars as pictures tend to leave a greater impression in ones mind about somebody and are easier to recall than names. For those who are quite close now i remember them by name.

I have about 65 people on my friends list here on mylot. I recognize most of them by their IDs and not just their avatars. So even if they change it, id recognize them as long as their ids remain the same.

i remeber the names i mean the user ids atleast and the avatar makes it easy ofcourse but then you went and changed yours! and for a moment i was confused :) so see its better to know the user id :)

I don't have that many friends and I do remember them by name. I could see that you changed your avatar with another baby. That's cool!

There used to be a Couple of people that were active here some time back that you never knew what you would see when you seen a Discussion of theirs. I got used to it, but overall it is easiest to tell a persons discussion from their Avatar. I think sometimes people will not get as many Discussions answered if they are known to change their avatars all of the time. I used to change mine around from time to time, but now have decided to leave it at this from now on.

The ones that normally respond to my discussions I definitely recognize by their name even if they change their avatars,but others i recognize by avatars

it is easy to recognize our online friends through their avatars. that's how i get to know them. the avatars are representatives of our faces here. so when a friend changes his/her avatar i get puzzled as to how come there is a stranger getting into the discussion my friends have started.

Some myLot friends have names I do remember even if they change their avatar often. I do wish people wouldn't change them too often as it does make it so much easier.

same here, i also recognize them by their avatars, also i can remember few names too..but some of my friends who are really having their response to my discussions are those people who are really in my mind because they are really supportive, that sometimes i can't even say thank you to their response..including you samson..thanks..

I have got only two friends that i know here personally and the remaining all my friends are friends that have been for a long time but haven't known them personally. I have really good friends here in mylot, who is always there to respond to my problems. And those few friends i remember their avatar names so, i can make them out by the avatar or either by the way they start or post a discussion.

Hello Samson! Groovy avatar ha. I don't know if I like this one better or the other one.~lol Well, I do recognize my friend and others by their avatar. But when I got to know them the avatar is not an issue anymore. I recognize them too by their username. And if you get to know your friends closely, each of them have a unique way to post/write and to interact with others. I have some friends who often changes avatar, but I still have no problem recognizing them. Have a great week end Samson! (^^,)

I had a strange discovery when thinking about answering your discussion. I usually remember things in picture form and have difficult remembering people's names. However, on MyLot I recognise members that I have come across before by their username rather than their avatar. I found that very strange to realise as I had not really thought about it before and would have expected the answer to be the other way around. Perhaps it is because the username has more resemblance to the member than the picture sometimes. One of the first members I came across had a hunk avatar but then I discovered the member was female - it came as rather a shock to me.

I remember a lot of avatars, but every now and then my friends will change their avatars, so I guess I have to remember screennames. LOL I don't have much of a problem remembering screennames, especially when they pop up frequently.

I recognise several by their avatars. Others I know by their names, especially the ones that start alot of discussions. I usually try to respond to my friends discussions, although not all of them. For some of them that I do respond to their discussions, I see their avatars frequently for that reason.

Usually i go by avatars too but sometimes people use the same avatar as my friends then it gets confusing. i called someone by my friends name and before i realized i had done i posted. i felt really embarrassed about it. Now i do try to look at names when i can.
