I'm just curious to know something as I sit at my computer. I'm listening to some music on my media player and am singing along to it. I'm not alone in the house, but I don't think anyone can hear me. Soes anyone sing to music or listen to it while online? Can you concentrate on typing and singing at the same time? I have a hard time with that sometimes, but sometime soon I'll be co-ordinated on this. Just curious to know.

I listen to music sometimes while I'm at work at the computer. I have to use head phones so not to disturb anyone, but I often find myself quietly singing or dancing in my chair. No one has said anything and I can get my work done just fine.

I used to do that when I was working night shifts. I could get through the night much faster if I was listening to music. I used to work with a partner until I was transfered to another building, but he got used to my singing. :) It was the security guard who always chuckled at me when he caught me belting out a tune. He always snuck up on me and stood there until I turned around and saw him. I love to sing, but I can be very shy about it most times.

My boss was standing behind me one day when I was be-bopping to Johnny Paycheck's "Take this job and shove it". I thought that was the funniest thing. How appropriate.

Ooh, that's crazy. I guess your boss didn't say anything about that? I would be embarassed if that happened to me.

I rewrote my first book listening to the sound track from Titanic. It gave me inspiration.

Music that's inspiring is a great thing. It does some good things sometimes, and it does help me too with ideas. That's where I got the idea to post this discussion. :)

You know, I can't remember which song it was that I was listening to.

Wow. What were you listening too? I found that writing to the instrumentals of the sound track were so very calming.

One of my favorite things to do after everyone goes to bed a t night is to put on my head phones and music and play spades online. It does not bother me to type and listen at the same time at all. Its fun to get lost in nothing but your keyboard and music, shutting yourself off for awhile from the rest of the world.

I love shutting myself off from the rest of the world sometimes. It's quite relaxing and refreshing. I feel quite calm once I've done that if I'm in a bad mood.

That's cool. I just stop singing when I type and not really realize that I've done it until I finally clue into it.

I am a fairly good singer. So I sing all the time no matter who hears me. I can type and sing , but I type slower.

It happens. When I've got my headphones on, I don't care who hears me. But right now I've got the music on my computer coming out of my speaker, so anyone can hear it and me.

Typing and singing is tough.. especially if you're typing for something important rather than chatting or blogging. I usually sing in the car. I find it quite relaxing esp w/ all those bad drivers out there.

Sure are alot of those out there. My music helps me drown out the drumming that comes from next door. That's the problem with living beside a musician.

I always have music going when I'm at the computer and sing along at the top of my voice (I'm actually doing it right now). This may explain why there are so many typos in all my discussions and responses...LOL

Lol, that's ok. I'll understand if I see typos in your postings. I love my music and will always have it on if I need to drown out noisy people that surround me.

Nope thats not possible. The human brain has the capacity to do only one thing at a time.It can do other trivial things along with the main action but it should be of less importance. I've tried doing buts its too hard.Maybe practise can help.
