Has anyone joined this? I've heard about it on the news a few times. I think its supposed to be a 3D web community that the 'residents' create where you can make your own characters. I guess its like an online SIMS. But has anyone joined or know more about how it works? They said Free to join, but its also linked up to the PayPal Merchants so I'm wondering how exactly it works. It's not really like the sims, you can pretty much do all you want online there, as truly a second life. It's a bit of a waste of time if you ask me, but some spend a lot of time in creating virtual worlds there to sell for big amounts of money. And that is what the paypal stuff and such is for, you can play it for free but you can also buy stuff and sell stuff for money.

wow, thanks that makes more sense to me. i thought it was like an online community like myspace or something to just meet and chat with people. thanks again.

I signed up for it a while back, but haven't been back since. I hate it and will never use it again. It makes no sense to me and I think it's just a big waste of time.
