do you think a pretty girl easier to get a job than one with normal appearance?

a famous star and her funs - this is a famous star who is good at songs and movie, she is beautiful in most peoples's eyes, though I don't think she is so beautiful and I don't think she is beautiful in this picture.
but she appears with good look when she sing a song or paly a role in a movie .
at least for a player, appearance is important.

It depends on the kind of job you're applying for. If you're looking for a job that requires beauty it is important that you look beautiful all the time. But if the job requires talent more thatn beauty without brains ..goodluck with yuor beauty. Better look for a job that really suits you.

For front office jobs pretty girls will be preferred, for other skilled works, ability counts more than beauty. A clever businessman will expect only the results. What is the use if the pretty lady doesnt do her duty?

Yes. When I was a young girl, I got any job that I wanted. Now that I am older and do not display that "totally fresh faced" look, I do not get jobs as quickly. When people look at me, they see my age, not who I am. I suggest that youth has just as much to do with it as beauty.

Yes, i think so. I saw a program in the local television and they did try to find out if looks does affect a person's chances in getting a job. They sent two ladies with the exact same qualification but the other one doesn't look as good as the other one. Obviously, the one that looks better got the job. they also did other things like ask a favor or help from a stranger and the prettier girl always got positive responses. Although one's ability and character will help in finding a good job, i think that people and companies today seriously consider the appearance of their applicants. Sadly, many companies give a lot of consideration to the looks than the abilities and other qualifications of an applicant

This is true that the ability and character are important when applying for a job, but that's not always the case when it comes to better-looking people. Studies have shown that those who look better and healthier are more successful when it comes to jobs. I think it's because people who have an overall good appearance show the world that they take good care of themselves, but that's just me. Well although a good-looking appearance promises this, that doesn't mean you don't need skills. If I were a boss and two people come for an interview, one had skills and potential while the other one had a much better appearance, but no experience or skills what so ever, I take the first choice.

It depends on the nature of the job involved. If applicants are applying for beauty, sales consultants, Public Relations and others jobs that requires interaction with people of all grades, then being a beauty is more important than anything else. Do not try those jobs that you can't uphold to it. Being pretty is every girl's dream and being old is every person's unavoidable matter.

I think being pretty it is just an advantage but the ability to handle the job, smartness and overall personality during the job interview is the main factor. In some job positions, they prefer pretty girl to attract customers, say in insurance companies or sales representatives. Most employers as i beleive is thinking if their representative is pretty, the customer might be willing to do business more.

Hello, sallyxu126. Under certain circumstances, it really likes what you said. But if you are competent for this job, it's more likely be your job. The most important is be confident, that'll be easier for you to get a job. :)

In regard to women, yes, it's much easier to get MOST jobs if you're young and attractive. Beauty is an indicator of health and hardiness, hence our preference for it. However in jobs such as security, construction, welding, or another typical "male" job, one finds beauty to be a hindrance. It seems potential employers see a pretty face as too feminine to get the job done properly. Assumptions abound that a lovely lady is going to be squeamish, or a girly-girl; one afraid to break a nail or a sweat. And yes, intelligence, aptitude, grammar and all that are essential in making a good first impression on the job.

Of course it is. It's unfortunate but that's the kind of world we live in now. I know this lady that gets paid more than a lady that went to college and got her degrees, and I'm talking about the best ones too, just because she is better looking. It's quite sad that she got a shortcut and the other had to work for it.

I am not sure about this. I haven't done any survey about this but I think it may be right. Because people often amaze about the beauty. That's why the first impression is often merely based on the outer appearance. I would like to say that more than 80% of first impression depend on the outer appearance. People always assume that beauty means good. Thus, when a beautiful girl comes to the interview, our brains will react pleasantly. But we often forget that people are a complex "thing". We can't judge people based on merely their outer appearance because it can often misled. In my opinion, the company will not be competitive if their primary engine which is their human resources are based heavily on their appearance.

Yes, I think a pretty girl is easier to get a job than one with normal appearance in some jobs. Such as secretaries, receptionists, saleswomen, and so on. In some jobs which need more and more special knowledge, sometimes it is not effect. Beauty is attractive to all people. I have to admit that if I were a boss, I would recruite a pretty girl, then I will be in good mood when I see her. And the relationship between colleagues and visitors are all easier to contact with each other. Sometimes it is indeed unfair, but what is fair in the world? As long as you are strong, you will get a good job, and a rich life.

Yes, appearance really matters at some point though it is not the always the basis of getting a job. Well, life is just like that. LOL... When we are looking for a job, we can see that one of the requirements is pleasing personality so it is something that employers consider when hiring you. But if you also have that confidence and wit even if you look normal, then for sure, they will hire you too.

yes,as your opinion,I think a prety girl is easier to get a job than one with normal or ugaly appearance. Because it is well know all of people love beauty,I love, too.But it is not the most importmant thing for to find a job.Of course the ability is the first. No boss want a vase to help him work.So though the appearance will be easier to find the same job to the other ones, in the final analysis ablity must be the winner! Work hard, persist until succeed.Don't think over your appearance. Come on!
