Does any one know how long the pill stays in your system oncce you stop taking?

I was on the pill for four years give or take and i came of it a year ago. My partner and i are trying to get pregnant. I have been told a number of different things regarding this subject: They are in system for 505 of the total time you were taking them. 100% of time you were taking them. 6 months and so on. Please help!
