It is a bother, but also a priveledge.

At one time, I thought I had all of my discussions resolved, except maybe four. In the last two months I have had them come unresolved, for various reasons. Some people quit myLot, and pulled all of their responses etc. out, some were banned. Some were actually glitches on the part of myLot. For whatever reason, I find myself rereading some of my earliest discussions, and choosing new best responses. It is time consuming for some of the longer ones, but it is a priveledge, as well, to read how people have contributed in the past, and I enjoy doing it. Anyone else finding themselves in this position?

Your topic is timely, gardengerty. 30 minutes ago, I was flabbergasted when I saw one of my 3 months old thread appeared back as unresolved discussion. Its quite frustrating as I needed to go through the 90 plus responses again. It doesn't matter if its a handful of responses only. Its 4 in the morning here and I'm still going through everything.

Gee, I didn't know that if somebody got banned, or quit, that the best responses I gave them would be deleted! I had no idea that could happen. Guess I'll have to go and check to see because last I checked I had all discussions marked with best responses. Huh! Learn something new every day! Sure am glad you brought this up.

Just the other day I sat here for an hour or so resolving a bunch of mine. Now I've never paid attention to ones' that were already done. So I couldn't tell you if any of these had already been done previously. But I have heard of many members that have this re-awarding process to deal with. So all I can say is good luck and just enjoy it. I always enjoy doing mine when it's time. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi there GardenGerty, no I haven't come across this, but what I have found that if one of my new added friends go to my old posts, all of a sudden lots of people start responding to them, that are not on my friends list. I was wondering why, this has now happened a couple of times. Any light on this?

Annie, if someone views an old post, it will get shuffled back to the top, or at least I know if they respond it does. I had a friend who explained this nicely in a discussion. However, he deleted himself, and pulled everything, so the discussion is not there now. That is part of where my unresolved discussions came from--I had given him numerous BR. Good news is that he is back, I hope he redoes some of his tutorials. The result of me revisiting my old posts to give BR has been that they are coming back up, and I am getting new responses on them.

Oh, no, myLot is an Alzheimer's prevention program, as well as a treatment for seasonal affective disorder in my case. Nowif it cure my attention deficit disorder without hyperactivity, or GIVE me hyperactivity to get more done, I would have found the perfect medicine.

After reaching the 1000+ club yesterday, I've returned to my past discussions and found a very interesting fact... I have never had responses that numbered above 25 for any one discussion, and most of the responses tended to be from people who are on my friends list... not that others aren't welcome but, it's nice to know that my friends seem to find my discussions useful, humorous and interesting... The low number of responses allows me to give good replies, with details if necessary, so that the most common questions that are answered, can be of benefit to everyone... Also as I rejoin some of these discussions, I have gleaned more insight and knowledge about my friends and their unique presences and personalities, which is a kind of a Gift, as most of you are truly, well, "Coolness in Motion", and the kind of people that I love to entertain... and perhaps one day I will, BIG TIME! LOL! :)

I like the discussions with moderate responses myself. I do not try to be controversial, so I do not get big responses either.

I too am finding that I have to resolve old discussions that have I have already chosen best response for. This is crazy. Hopefully I will find time to do it soon. I try to do a few a day. But, when I am on so less now due to my new job, it will take me a longer time to get them resolved.

This happens to me often and now has me paranoid about my unresolved discussions that I check back often. When I first starting resolving my discussions I had 101 pages of unresolved discussions, I thought I would never get through them, but eventually I did and I was so proud of myself. Then 2 weeks later I went back and checked and I had 5 pages of unresolved discussions, I was thinking "what happened? I thought I had already done this" so I went back and did it *again* a few weeks later I checked back and I had 3 more pages of unresolved discussions, I was frustrated by this point and wrote to myLot asking them what was going on. Their response was to tell me how to resolve discussion, duh, like I didn't already know that, couldn't they see that most of my discussions had already been resolved?? Do they not check?? Makes you wonder. I have become so paranoid that now I check my unresolved discussions daily to see if any new ones pop up. The funny thing, I remember who I give the Best Response to and the ones I did give it to are still active members, so explain that one??

I had a few of those as well. Or at least one, I should say. That one was easy, as right there in the discussion he said, "Thank you for the best response". I think with all these members and everything there are some glitches happening. I also think maybe I missed a few when I was so rabidly choosing a month or two back. Some of them, though, I do remember who it was, and they are gone. Or gone and back again.

I haven't checked on this lately. I guess I am in for a shock. I don't relish the thought of having to go back and redo things. I guess I am tired of spinning my wheels...lol. I am glad there is someone who enjoys going back and redoing things. I don't know if I have the energy.

What I like is that I am remembering some really happy times, and how excited I got over all the interactions with all the cool people on the forum.

I have found responses to my discussions that I was sure I had rated and the rating had disappeared so I had to rerate them. I haven't to date come across any where the BR has been removed but I have read several other discussions where people have had similar things happening to them. Yes it's inconvenient and quite obviously a glitch on myLot's part but sometimes it's quite handy, especially if you had lots more responses after you had already chosen the BR and the new responses had one which you felt would have been a better BT :)

Hi GardenGerty! I had some of my discussion unresolved too this past few days. And the surprising thing is the responder are still all active. And I have a friend who requested to have her account deleted, she still have the BR mark until now. Well, so it seems like a glitch of Mylot. Which I notice, especially when updating to the site is made. Fortunately I don't have to many discussions and I do enjoy reading them back. And like you said it's a sort of reminder of the people who have contributed to them in the past. And it made me smile to read them again. Have a great weekend! (^^,)

I had one unresolved discssion returned to me and couldn't figure out why it happened. To make matters worse, I couldn't remember who I'd given the BR to, so I couldn't go check their profile to try to figure out what had become of them. I wish there was some automated reason to go with the automated action. I didn't mind rereading and redeciding, but I did wonder what had happened.

Sometimes people leave of their own will, and other times they are banned. I have one or two discussions that fit what you say, like, I know I gave BR to a woman, but who? At one time I could go about once a week to each of my friends' profiles and check on them, but I have too much work, and too many friends to get around to that now. Some people leave, but do not have myLot delete them, and come back. I had one good friend who asked to have his 3000 points removed, but is back, starting over from 0, and I know he had some BR from me, and I had some from him.

yes, i also find myself in that discussion. and i do enjoy doing it. i love choosing new best responses and even though it's time consuming, i also find it fun to rate other people including this discussion. I am not rated by other people but that's nothing to me. I respect everyone. and i think everyone needs to be rated to be known ehat kind of posts they are posting. hope you have the time to rate and reply to me. Thanks friend!

You are being rated, and the results will show when you get your star at 100. Admin has to have some data to average in order to give you that star! I rated you +. I do that for almost everyone who responds, if they add anything at all to the discussion.

I have a similar situation, in that unresolved discussions appear out of no where. I usually wait at least two weeks before choosing Best Response. Every now & then I go to my unresolved discussions, & choose best responses. I think I have completed the Lot. Then a few days later some others appear, including some discussions begun a long time ago. It's a bit weird really, but doesn't bother me.

To help your earnings, you need to post longer, quality posts. I think you will be happier here if you do. I understand you are fairly new to myLot.

I went through the same thing I think it was last week. I figured I had 5 or 6 discussion to resolve and there must have been 20. I found it to be frustrating.

I have quite a few unresolved ones that I am going to tackle within the next few days as I can Mylot now to my heart's content. I know of others who have faced a similar problem with their unresolved discussions, so it will be interesting to see if I have any of those ones lol as well. I do hope to do this within this week, as one of my primary targets here on Mylot. I HAVE ANOTHER FEW TARGETS SET THIS WEEK ALSI HOPE TO KEEP YOU POSTED ON THEM LOL. I feel so bad at not being ale to resolve a lot of my discussions earlier, but it was very difficult until now t do some decent Mylotting. I have Avast anti virus now also, so that should help in keeping my little computer nice and clean.

I second that GG, Yup I'm in the same boat. I too find it to be such a pain. In the past I felt I was gaining some success edging closer to (500).. and then serious changes were made.. lots of them. As you were saying before people were quitting, or banished. but that's all behind us for now. I ccna see this forum becoming a lot more than even mylot ever expected..

I have not noticed this happening. I will have to pay particular attention to this and see if it is happening to me. Even if it does it would be bothersome as you say but I would take pride in choosing another best response. I go back anyway and read some of my older discussions and read the responses on them. Thanks for this discussion. It made me aware and I will be paying attention to whether this happens to me or not. Great discussion.
