an absent parent? A parent that does not want to have any part in the childs life. How does this make your child feel?

I have no idea either, but I imagine it would be tough especially in the later (teen) years. I give so much props to single moms and dads who take on the sole role as the parent. Raising kids is a tough job and I couldn't imagine myself doing it all alone. Much love to the single parents. I do know that the absent parent is missing out on possibly the most rewarding job ever!

My father became absent in my life when I was 20 years old. As for being the oldest of ten it had affected my younger siblings the most. My siblings felt alienated, alone, had problems attaching to other males always feeling that they would be left alone. No body can take the place of a beloved parent but if you are lucky and find a mate that can help the child mend their hearts you have found the gold mine.
