Searching and responding to the news categories listed here on mylot just recently I found something that is absolutely hilarious to me. I also feel other members will get a kick out of this. Under the "World", "Technology", and "National" headlines in the news area are duplicate entries of the same news stories. So the glitch of double posting even affected the mylot staff it seems. This is great. I wonder how they felt if someone actually saw that it happened. Hahahaha!

Hello Grandpa Bob, I don't recall venturing to the news area. It's like talking to myself when I respond so I am not too inclined normally. Anyway, I suspect it is not a glitch. It could just be that they are putting the same article in both categories since it is relevant anyway.

Actually it's like an ordinary discussion as members comment back and forth. But then we get paid for one response is all I believe. Ugghhh!

I saw that this happened, but I looked at it as more like the tagging thing. The articles could be tagged as world headlines, technology headlines, or national headlines. I did not interpret it as a glitch.

I did as the duplicates appeared under the same
category's of news.
It was just hilarious I felt.

Oh LOL Grandpa Bob that is funny! I wonder how the administration is feeling about that one. I also wonder will they delete the double entries? LoL Thanks for pointing this out I will have to go see for my self now.!

Sounds like the joke is on them! Or maybe the news stories had something that fit all the categories! They are caught on their own halyard, aren't they?

Ha! Well it's nice to know that it doesn't just happen to us emere MyLot mortals! Maybe if the staff have a lot of problesm with the double posting and are aware they can't be deleted then they will reccomend to MyLot to do something about it? Who knows?
