I have been waiting almost three years for my son to sleep thru the night. Recently he has started sleeping 5-6 hours at a clip. Yay!! A few nights have been the normal every 2 hours or so but the trend seems to be heading toward sleeping through the night. Well tonight/today however you want to look at it; seems to be a long stretch. Where am I? Sleeping? No! My lovely hubby started complaining about my snoring (yep I admit it - I snore and he got me good an mad since he has earplugs so no one bothers him) around 3 am and finally by 4 I was up. Now I can't fall asleep! I can't believe this. My son is sleeping FINALLY and I am wide awake! Does this kind of thing ever happen to you? You finally have a chance to sleep or nap and sleep evades you?

Yes, it seems like lately the kids have been disturbing my sleep more than ever, and after i get them back tosleep, I can't get myself back to sleep. THe youngest one woke up 4 times w/in one hour last night then an additional 3 times, (he's teething) the oldest, who never wakes up, woke me up twice last night, and then after I put him down, I laid in bed for almost an hour, staring at the cieling at 2:00 in the morning, because I just couldn't sleep! Of course they woke up at 6:00 a.m. and did not sleep in even though they didn't get enough rest, so on top of me being grumpy and tired, they are too. It will be interesting! (:

If my husband complained, I'd kick him out to the couch lol. Sleep is so precious when you're a mother!

Our daughter is 7 months now. She used to sleep great at first, apart from a feed or two, she'd go right through the night. Then she outgrew her moses basket and we had to move her to her cot in the nursery - and the trouble started! She's not too bad, she normally sleeps a good chunk of the night, but we try to stay up later to enjoy some time together, or even alone, just chilling out. That's our mistake, because we then need a proper sleep and are denied it when she gets up. I've recently re-instated stricter bedtimes, as we relaxed all the rules while she was sick with her chickenpox and cold. She hates it at first, but soon gets used to having to go to bed on time (Screaming or not!)
