Is the pursuit of money making you sick?

If you became very rich tomorrow, what would you do?Slow down and enjoy your life?Quit your job and spend more time with your family and friends?Take up a career that you really enjoy?Interestingly, many people who become rich do not do such things.Instead they devote their lives in makoing more money- either to pay their debts or just to get richer. Some who have followed this course, however, are noting the damaging effect that materialism has had on their health, their family life, and the moral character of their children.Recently books, articles, televisions programs and videos have warned against overindulgence. Do you think is it true?Do those who have money and material acquisitions really make them sick? What is your opinion?

Yeah! Sometimes. Whenever I'm treated with negative attitudes by my close friends and family members, I felt sick for earning money. I do feel all of them as blood suckers for my money. Otherwise I'm happy to earn more and more.

If I became rich tomorrow, it would not change the person I am. I would still be me and I would try to help alot of people who do not have much money. I would definitely spend moretime with my husband and my daughter. I wouldnot be greedy and do things to make more money. I would leave those earnings and jobs for those who really need it and have to have it. I think some people do let money go to their head and they never have enough of it.

Although NOT having material posessions and money amkes you feel that you're missing out, HAVING such things does not make you happy like you imagine they will. I have earned good money for some years and 'have' all I want, but I spent all my time at work so I did not 'do' what I wanted. If I became rich, or just had enough to pay my bills, I would stop working tomorrow and enjoy raising my daughter and practicing my hobbies.
