I cant hear very well!SHOUT AT ME!

Recently i have been having difficulty hearing what my husband says to me and he says to me that there is a problem with my left ear. I am really worried with this new illness because i dont wanna lose my hearing , im only 27 years old. Can i still be cured?

I have had some difficulty also hearing here lately. My husband can only hear out of one ear also but he is 15 years older than me. He cannot hear very well out of his left ear either and he has had surgery on it twice now. You may have an ear infection or something like that may be causing you not to be able to hear very well. I don't think you will lose your hearing. It could be something really simple going on. I bet you can go to the doctor and get cured since you are so young. Good luck.

thanks for the response. I think that this problem of hearing started when my left ear started to hurt and it feels numb sometimes, yeah i will go to the doctor,i am afraid it is worse than earwax build up, i think my eardrrum is already damaged, because i remember when i went to the doctor 5 years ago because of ear infection that my eardrrum is already damaged..so this has turned to worse.

You are very welcome. I would go to the doctor also since you already had pre-exisiting ear flaws. It could be wax built up or there may be some scar tissue that can be repaired to get your hearing back to normal. There may not be a whole lot of damage beyond repair, so you may be lucky enough to have it fixed. Good luck with it.

I am losing my hearing but I am going on 53. Have you tried the ear wax remover? Sometimes we have ear wax buildup and that causes some hearing loss. You might want to have it checked out.

Make an appointment at the doctors. You may have an ear infection or some sort of buildup of wax in there which will prevent you from hearing. Don't leave it for too long though as I left mine until it was too late and lost my hearing completely in the right ear.

What is your new illness? I have been deaf in my right ear since 2002. I had meniear's disease and I am doing fine. I have problems if someone wants to talk to me on my right side so I try to sit so I can hear people from my left side. It has not been easy but I make it work. I cannot get a hearing aide because of the type of hearing loss.
