The Golden Coin

Okay yesterday sepnt my day at the local lake, hunting, found tons of trash, $3.00 in change....neat looking NBA shirt, and a pair of water shoes.
aand least but not last I found a golden coin. Well it's not really gold, it's made of copper and brass, but had the golden look. and it's refered to as the golden cin. So there was my fake gold for the day! :)

Cool. I am seriously thinking to get one detector for myself. Well $3 thats a pretty good earning.lol. In Mylot it would have take, don't know how many replies or posts. Good going. I was away from Mylot for long time due to some other works, but whenever i used to get time, i read your posts to find your new discoveries. Its good to be back now.

yes, you should get a metal detector, you could start with a cheap one and work up to a better one later on. :)
I'm glad that people are enjoying this as much as I am. I try to go hunt often as I can. and I will keep posting my finds! :)
my Rheumatologist told me I have advanced disk disease in lumbar spine and mild cervical disk disease.....all degenerative, I have to keep myself active to keep good mobility. and the exercise helps with pain management. :) Sitting hurts me worse. So metal detecting is like therapy for me. :)
plus maybe some treasures out there for me.
and now being disabled, I have lots of time to spend doing what I love most.
I have long handled water scoop, so that I don't have to bend over all day, it helps out so much! Occasionally have to bend over. and it works good as a sifter on the dry sand. :)

Even though you found that fake gold coin today, you still found other things. It sounds like you made quite a haul for one day. The other thing is that you sound like you enjoy your walks finding things. Walking is good for your health so keep walking and finding those great items. I can't wait to hear what you find after the holiday weekend. Good luck in the hunt.

Wow, you had a fun day. A little more fun than me. Since we have had buckets of rain in my area in the last twenty four hours ( about 7 inches) I wonder, How does rain affect the treasure you find? Does it bring more to the surface? Is your golden coin an American coin? That sounds interesting.

Yes, it's the $1.00 gold coin made in the year 2000, Yes it's american. I have several others...the same coin, it's a collectors coin. So thinking it will go into my coin collection for safe keeping. :)
we need some rain our way badly, it's so dry here, so many fires, alots of smoke in the air, not good to breathe.
Rain makes it good, it uncovers things. :) wind and rain all at ocean is even better, cause beach errosion. uncovers older coins.

You sure had a day of it. A various allotment of that which is left behind by someone. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Not sure how someone could leave behind their shirt or shoes?! The coin seems worthy of framing and display for talk amongs company at times. Good luck in future hunting.

Sounds like so very much fun! The thrill of the hunt would do it for me, even if I didn't find much! The walking is also so very good for your health! It is really neat that your hobby is also therapeutic! Best of luck in your treasure hunting!

Lol, you still had a great day! 3.00 is more than I have found in weeks! Actually if the coin is 1979 you should go over it very closely there are different values on this dollar!
