Where are you all from? And how did you hear about myLot?

Where is everyone from? And how did you find out about this site? I'm American--form New England. I am a member of another online community powerfulintentions.com (where people discuss the law of attraction). Over there, one of the members referred me to mylot.
I thought it would be mostly Americans, but I was surprised to find it was such an international community. Most of the peope I've met were from India, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and other parts of Asia. I've met a few Americans and Europeans, but not as many as I would have expected. I'm just surprised that so many people abrad are coming over to myLot. It's pretty cool!

First of all, I congratulate you for starting with 9 stars. You have just completed 100 posts to be eligible to get stars and you start with 9. Great!
Well, I thought on a similar line as you thought and I was surprised to see the same statisrics you have mentioned.
I came to know about myLot at Yahoo Answers. That is also a nice programme.
What is good to see is that inspite of so much diverse crowd at myLot, the forum is pretty cohesive and closely knit. MyLot is a front running example of globalisation. In a way this gives us hope that globalisation may do lot of good to all.

I'm from Southampton, England and I found about about this site through a friend on another forum. Everyone seemed to think it was fairly good so I came to check it out. I love the fact there is such a mixed community here, helps you see many different perspectives! x

I agree--the international community provides a different perspective. I've learned a lot.
I love England! I was there for a few weeks with my choir and orchestra in high school. We spent most of our time in the city, but we did get to see a little of the country.
I would love to spend a year studying at the Royal College of Music.

hi there Tina...im from the Philippines, i heard mylot from a friend in myspace..unfrotunately, im not seeing her in mylot lately and her points stayed as it is..maybe she's busy and not participating in mylot that often since i dont get an answer if i PM her...

Interesting, I also heard about myLot from a friend over at powerfulintentions.com, but she doesn't come around here much either. Funny that you ended up being more active than your referer. Maybe she's on vacation--it's that time of year.

I'm very surprised that you have 9 stars with 106, I have 5 stars when I reach 100 responses. That's great that you were able to work your way from 5 to 9 stars. I was happy to start out with 9 stars--I just joined this community a few days ago, but I got some really good advice from other members who helped me a lot.
Your English is fine, especially for a non native speaker.

I am an American who was born in New York. I moved from New York to Florida about 3 years ago and I don't like this state at all. I was searching for ways to get paid online and it took me a couple of months before I finally discovered Mylot. I found Mylot on another blog made by someone who was working from home. He had a bunch of links of online earning programs and Mylot was one of them. I was lucky to have found that blog otherwise, I probably wouldn't be here.

Hey there Tina Im from the united states and we have a great site here. Im glad you decieded to join us. I find it quite amazing you heard about us from New England. We sometimes have our problems but who doesnt? We always seem to work them out. I find the members here are really down to earth people and Ive become very attached to some of the members here. i am an member of a community in ORKUT [dating site] and i came to know about mylot by orkut as some member of mylot was spamming there to make us join so i joined accidentally.

I'm from the US as well - I live in New Mexico, not far from the US/Mexico border. I found out about myLot from WAHM.com, a work-at-home website I visit often.
So far I've really enjoyed myLot and reading the responses from people all over the world. It's been very interesting!

I'm a British-born Nigerian - living in London. I found out about myLot from a couple of other sites. After coming across another recommendation about it yesterday, I thought it was time I joined. Early days yet, but so far, so good. I'm enjoying the discussions.
