Sitting beside a person with Bad ODOR in public areas...

What do you do when you get to sit beside someone who has bad odor...like in a train, or jeepney, is it annoying to you? do you look at the other side and put a handkerchief or putting your hands in your nose and let them see it so that they will know that they have something in them that you dont like or you just pretend nothing happens and think that it will end soon...
i get sat beside a person with a bad odor on the jeep on my way to work! and its really annoying since he is always putting his hand on the rail at the roof of the jeepey, so theres no getting away froma and the odor is really bad. common, dont be hyprocrit, i know youll have the same reaction as i am..i moved farther from him and cover my nose...
i mean no offence but all of the people who's there inside the jeep happens to smell it and and its really foul. i know what i did was unethical and i wanted to say sorry but i just cant help it..its really offensive on my part.
if youre on my situation earlier, would you do the same way?

What you did wasn't unethical at all, in my opinion, though I think you should've also told him that he reeked. Something along the lines of "no offense, sir, but you are emitting a foul odor."
I always carry a nice smelling hand sanitizer (usually something fruity or tea-flavored from bath & body works) so whenever I'm in a situation where the atmosphere smells bad, I use the hand sanitizer and smell my hands for awhile. If that's not enough, I move to another place. It happens often on the morning subway, when there's sometimes homeless people sleeping in the car; I just move to another subway car.

as much as i wanted to tell him that he is emitting a bad odor but since i dont know him, he might slap me! lolz! so id rather not say anything anyways, ill get off the jeep in no time! hahaha!

yeah...but i didnt show it to him right up front that im covering my nose though...but i moved farther..good thing he is kinda sleepy and closing his eyes so he didnt show our reactions.
