Stef my love.. you need to pimp out your deviantart account! I've made a lot of friends on there, something like 50, and we're all very involved with each other so its a good way of spreading the word! Since they introduced their prints service, a lot of people have made money through it, so I'd recommend shelling out for one of those when you have a large portfolio and some money to spare. x

That could be a good idea and there must be some culture or art associations where you live and maybe some who arrange courses in painting and other sorts of art. They should have some ideas - maybe they arrange exhibitions so that the artists in the same town or village can show their works. I hope you find some way to sell your art - hopefully to those who appreciate it a lot.

I agree with the other respondents, you really just need to get your work out there both offline and online. I would create a website and post my work on as many legitimate art sites that you can find. I like Wetcanvas, but I haven't used Deviantart, yet. You also should get involved with art groups and try to get in as many juried events as possible. It helps to build up your "resume". I would also think about auction sites like Artbyus and Ebay and posting your work there. I've sold a number of pieces on Ebay and at least one on Artbyus.
