Hmmm...I don't know as far as I understand, she's being played by Mila Kunis right now...was there another actress before her?
Nope. I just looked it up on IMDB. Mila has been playing Meg since 1999, and she's been in 79 episodes. I can't find any mention of a substitute actress on IMDB.
I never noticed a difference in her voice. *shrug* Go figure.

I usually hear Mila for Meg but ocassionally it is someone else...don't know why, but I definitly know what you are talking about. You are not crazy. Sometimes the replacement voices don't even sound like the same replacements. Mila does the bets job I think ... although Meg doesn't have many lines (which is probably a good thing). I just like that they can keep making fun of her.

it wasnt a substitute but megs voice was done by Lacey Chabert in the first season and they had a recast on her part and mila kunis does it now

Never really noticed to be honest. Mostly busy laughin at something Stewie/Peter/Brian/Quagmire did. :)

In the earlier epiosdes of Family Guy, the voice of "Meg" was played by a woman by the name of "Lori" (I think, but not sure of a last name). For the majority of the episodes though, "Meg" has been played by "Mila Kunis" who is also on "That Seventies Show".

Actually Lacey Chabert (from Party of Five fame) was Meg's voice in Season 1, Mila Kunis was Meg's voice for 2 and beyond.
A funny little bit of trivia for you.. Mila actually learned to speak English from watching the game show "The Price is Right" -- her first language is Ukranian.

Well its not just you, apparently every few episodes her voice gets messed up, but its ok because nobody listens to her =)
