I think everyone should wait abit because people are reporting many problems with vista and how it is working at the moment. I'm happy with windows XP and has never let me down.

Remember that it is microsoft product by tradition. Xp also is stable after service pack 2. It has been evident that people keep reporting about problem in newer microsoft versions. I could remember from the days of win98,me,2000,xp and now vista. There will be problems, there will be service packs and things will settle down. Also, microsoft also knows this very well, it has taken five years for microsoft to release vista, the highest gap ever between xp and vista. also, vista has been beta tested all over world for record. An recent survey also forecast that by 2010 half of world's computers will run vista.

I dont plan to upgrade any time soon to vista. I've heared many people report their problems with it. Windows XP still works fine for me and does what i want it to do and what i need it to do so im still happy. I might end up getting a laptop within the next year, and im sure that they come with vista on it, if it does then i expect to change it to XP.

I haven't seen vista yet. I'm not going to upgrade for the time being but I'm sure that when I'll have to buy a new computer I'll get vista installed.

I'll probably be upgrading to vista sometime buy the end of the year since my current computer is far too glitched to be messed with.

Hi I went to a Microsoft conference and recieved free copies of Office Pro 2007 and Vista Ultimate. The vista version is the not the final release but the one just before. I installed it on my laptop which is 2 yeasr old. Well the first problem was my laptop has the intel 915 chipset so that means no aero. I had several issues with Vista. It would hang up quite a bit and once in a while I would get the message to upgrade to a retail version. I went back to XP but I found I really wanted to go back to Vista. I really like the new features and I was beginning to not like XP. Well I new that I was not going to buy a retail version if I couldn't run Aero. After lots of research I found that intel was not going to release drivers for the chipset that I had in my laptop. They say it is not capable of runiing Aero( which I read that in very early stages it would). Well to make a long story short (ya right) i bought a new laptop that has Vista Premium pre-installed and I went with AMD instead of Intel! I LOVE IT!!!!! Vista Rocks!!!!! Sherri

I have no desire to go to Vista at all. I have got XP working the way I want it to, and it is very good. I finally got to where I could play the older games on it, and know that they will not run on Vista, so it would do me no good at all.

I think quite a few people are in the same boat. At the same time, however, there are just as many people who are willing to upgrade to Vista in a heartbeat. I'm in no rush myself. In fact, I'm still debating with myself as to whether to go for PC with Vista on it or get a Mac instead.
