1. No body is perfect. we err, not only in our actions but also in our judgments of others and their actions. 2. We all have different perspective of life, even the people living under the same roof. the difference is because of our different environment, culture, belief, education, profession and experiences etc. Combine the two and there may arise misunderstanding. How do you tackle it and how best you think you are in doing it? Is there any special experience where you had to go out of the way to tackle a misunderstanding? P.S: A misunderstanding may or may not always be unpleasant:-)

Many years ago there was a foreign gentlemen that moved into our street. He refered to all his friends and neighbours by their surname. Smith, Jones, Hill whatever. In our culture that is considered very rude and abrupt. It used to upset people. My father decided to ask him why he did it because otherwise he seemed a very nice considerate person, and couldnt understand why he was so inpolite in this matter. The gentleman was desperately upset he had offended so many people because in his native country it was a mark of respect to call somebody by their surname. Showed me from a very early age not to jump to conclusions about people, to quickly

Hello, moomincat! Thanks you so much for sharing this piece of story with us. You are very right that one should not jump to conclusion but perhaps other person is doing it in totally different perspective. It just goes to show, how we can learn and be tolerant. Thanks for your story and presenting your view, moomincat!:-)

best way to tackle it is by expression of love and care;-) I may be wrong and other person can also be wrong, I think one should give some time to settle the emotions down so that a reasonable solution can be reached:-)

some times giving time to settle the emotions seems a very good option, but one should be careful about how much time;-) Thanks for your comment, matrixx!:-)
