I think that they like hibiscous, and honey suckle. They are very attracted to sweet smelling and brightly colored flowers, Try getting some bright yellow and bright pinks.

I love hummingbirds! They are such a delight to watch whizzing her eand there. We have alot of rose of sharons and azaleas in our yard and we see them all the time and sometimes they even whiz right past our heads. But I have found a site that might give you some more information then I ever could. I hope it helps you out and you have fun with it.

I planted bee balm and the hummingbirds flock to it!! The particular bee balm that I purchased has maroon flowers. It comes in several varieties with differing colors. My only complaint is that it is so invasive! Keeps me busy keeping it trimmed out of the plants around it. The fellow at our local nursery gave me a good hint the other day though, he said once fall gets here to take up the bee balm and around the hole place some 'flashing' like one would use on a roof, then replace the plant. That way the plant can't spread out as easily! Another plant that I notice a lot of hummingbirds around is my neighbor's fox glove. They seem to love that plant. The plant is beautiful too, I am going to have to purchse one! Both the bee balm and the fox glove are perrineals too! Here is a sight I found about creating an area that hummingbirds like!

Beebalm is the best plant to attact them. It's a perrenimal, and not too difficult to grow. Azaleus (SP?) and rhododendrons are also good. Gotta love those hummers!
