How long have been putting on glasses. What do you think about contact lenses. I put on glasses and they are with me from my college life as I am graduate in computers and computers was the reason my eye sight went going down, weaker and weaker.

I wear glasses most of the time. I also wear contact lens when my allergies aren't bothering me too bad.

I wear glasses and have been wearing glasses since I was 12 (I'm 24 now). My eyes appear to be stable now, so I don't really feel my eyes have become worse due to computer screens although they can't be good for your eyes either. I don't care much for contact lenses, they seem too expensive and flimsy. I hate the idea of putting something directly on my eyes.

I have worn glasses for a very long time. I'm not exactly sure when I got them but I am guessing I was about 10 years old. I don't really like the idea of contact lenses so I have never tried them.

I have been wearing glasses since the age of 28 years. I am now 49. I am short sighted, not too much. I need glasses for driving & watching TV. Also if I am at an event & I want too see a notice board that is in the distance, for instance, I will need my glasses. I have trouble rwsdfing the very small print on medicine packets sometimes. My driving glasses have a special film to cut out the glare & the hole in the ozone layer!

I started wearing glasses when I was 14. I am now 57. My presription has chaged only slightly. I have to admit that i was quite embarrassed at first, being a speccy four eyed kid. The trend at the time was to have thick black rimmed glasses. Boy were they horrendous. My close up vision has now got slightly worse. I have never tried contact lenses. I don't know why not. I really don't want to spend £XXX on Laser treatment. However good it is for most people, my son in law has had it done, the scare stories haunt me with a what if scenario. I change my glassess when I need to or I get fed up with appearance of these. Apart from one or too dangerouse moment I have had a largely trouble free glasses wearing life.

I am using both--contact lenses and glasses. I'm 15 years old but now have a 250 (with .50 astigmatism) on the left eye and 275 grade on the right eye. Maybe it's because of my addictions with watching the television in a close range (I can't help it), reading books (even if it's dark) and fiddling with the computer (whole day). It stresses my eye out and that's primarily the reason why my grade increases. I'm thinking of an eye laser but it's really expensive, though it's worth it.

Double Vision - If you wear a prism in your eyeglasses it helps your eyes to focus and not see things in double.
I have worn glasses since I was 7 years old, so I cannot blame computers for my poor eyesight. By the time I was 24 years old, I need bifocals. I remember it was very depressing for me but I wear no-line bifocals and I am very comfortable with them now. I also wear a prism in my glasses because without it, I will see double. I don't think I would like contacts, I am so used to glasses that I would feel naked without wearing them.

I'm short sighted but rarely use my glasses as I don't need them to read. I tried using contact lenses once but couldn't remove them so they wouldn't let me take them away with me. I just never went back to do another test I must make time for it as my eye's will just get weaker and weaker.

I also used to think as you are that I don't need glasses for reading and my eye sight is not that weak but gradually it got weaker and weaker and in months it was more weak from before test. When I put on glasses it has stopped and I don't feel any stress on my shoulders and I don't have to close my eyes a little to see properly. My suggestion put on glasses as it"ll stop your eye sight from getting more weak.

as of now,i don't wear glasses. But given the fact that i m a computer engineering student and i have to spend so much of my time on computer, its imperative that sooner or later i will have to wear them.In that case i would prefer glasses over contact lens coz i m scared of the contact lens!!

I started wearing my sunglasses about 15 years ago more or less. I used to read a lot and maybe getting older is one. I dont like contact lenses as I dont feel like wearing it. I am planning to have laser treatment but I am quite afraid about it, I am reading some more about the effect and I was told it is not a sure cure. I usually have two pairs of eyeglasses and an extra reading glass just in case. I have one at home and my reading glass in the office.

hi there, i don't wear glasses (while i think i need them ). yeah, i think a computer screen (especially the CRT one) is affect our eyes' health much. but it will be helpful if you try can neutralize it with some exercise to let your eyes muscles strong and supple. you can just glance up, down, right, left, and then glance at up, right, down, left, etc. it's also good to sometimes look at distance, maybe a nice scenery in front of you.

I wear only the glasses when I work on the computer or when I read a book. I am astigmatic therefore I see well without glasses but my sight is tired when I must read or to fix a screen therefore in these occasions I wear them.

I started wearing glasses for distance when I was 8. I used them at school for the blackboard, the movies and TV. As I got older they were a little stronger at first and then my eyes started getting better. As a teenager I didn't need glasses anymore. In my 30s I started needing them again for Tv, then for driving, and now for walking around as well. I don't wear them aorund the house unless I'm watching TV, otherwise when I leave the house I wear them all the time.

I've worn glasses for nearly 15 years now. We've had our ups and downs, but I love the pair I have now. I love men in glasses too; they look so smart and sexy, even if they aren't. Blessed Be

I wear contacts. I hate how glasses make me look. I remember the first time I went to school with my contacts in. Everyone was commenting on how different and cute I looked. I was expecting it because I looked like a COMPLETELY different person. It made my senior year of high school soooo much fun.
