Why do we have these pointless news every now and then?

Recently as I watch news, they've talked about the whales literally everyday. The situation goes like this, the whales swam from the ocean into a local river and then they end up being trapped. The locals and even scientists are trying to save the whales. This news goes on forever everyday for the past two weeks! Sometimes, I just think they should post some real news around the world instead of these pointless news. Are you as irritated as I am sometimes?

haha...animal news are pretty rediculous sometimes...like you say. i sometimes hear stuff about how this duck got stabbed, or rats got killed or something like that, and how they performed a surgery on stabbed duck...lol...sure, it's a sad news but it's not as serious or important as news that includes 'people' in them...if they're talking about a bird. not ducks. I think they should focus on something that really matters like people. Animals always comes second. If they're first on your list, then you got to really look yourself in the mirror and say "what's wrong with me?"

Yes, unnecessary repeatation of news is quite irritating and boaring also! Please inform the news publishing authorities to take care of this for quality news without frequent repeatations. News must be always 'New'! Thanks.

It can get irritating as with 24*7 news channels try to create news rather than report news which people really need or really affect people's lives. They are more interested in looking for sensational stories trying sting journalism " breaking news" it's really amusing as it really break from news what with celebrity gossips and so on. I feel media should regulate itself and also post REAL news which is serious stuff and not only depressing news but some positive news about how people are doing or things are improing in the world.

Yes, that's very true. We have a war going on and they're talking about whales? Just seem to not make sense at all nor do people care about those whales. Did I forget that we have to pay for the whale's well being as tax payers? rediculous.

I think whales and their behaviors some time indicates so many things regarding environmental effects. Whales are the biggest mammal animal and their transation to sea water to river water couls be consider as some thing HIDDEN because normaly they never do so! What scientists have understood i dont know! Whether whales are in search of safe breeding place or some thing occurring inside the sea and for survival they are doing this! Mostly animals have survival instinct very powerful naturally and in some animal it is very useful! If one can find so many rats are just going towards one side and the ratio is more than normal then there would be possible occurrence of the earth quake one can assume! This is one kind of forecast indication!
