Finally after way to much time gone by I finally found some time to work on my crafts. I have several pieces of polymer clay going right now, a mask that is nearly done, some pens ready to glazing, I have started a new technique demonstrated by Dona Kato with liquid polymer clay. But the piece that has made people talk is the one I made for my Grandma for her birthday. It is a bud vase, my family loved it and my aunt hasn't stopped talking about it.

First I sand the heck out off everything. I start with a 400 grit then a 600 grit and then an 800 grit finishing with 1000 or 1500 grit depending on which I have on hand. I use a buffing wheel after that to bring up a high shine. Then once that is all done I use Flecto Varathane Diamond Wood Finish water based not oil. Check out Sarajane Helms website for more information at WWW.polyclay.com

Your welcome. I found that the sculpey glaze made my work feel sticky but that the varethane isn't and you can get a real high shine to it. It also comes in a spray now and sarajane says that she has tried it and it seems to work well without reaction. I haven't tried it yet but I am going to make some roses and try it on them. It is hard to paint the varethane onto the roses and not get drips and runs.

Craft has really the power of attention! When you are doing craft work you totaly felt that you are occulied completely!
In India poverty is major thing till the date also! And so many women felt depressed because of their condition but once they become aware about their craft ability then now they are out of depression and earning plus getting self reliance too!
Craft has capacity to boost up the person as well as to help in knowing the real self with confidence!

I love my craft. I come from an artistic family and that is how almost all of us make money. I live near a store that sells developing country crafts, all the processed go back to the artist so they can live and buy more supplies. Not only that but the stuff in the store is sold at fair market value so if the piece is worth $100 that is what is sells for and the creator gets the $100.
