My dad used to embarras me. Up until I was 16 and could drive myself, he would take me to Blockbuster when I wanted to rent a video. Every single time I was in there, he'd go his way, I'd go mine, and five minutes after that, I'd hear from across the store, "FIVE MINUTES AMBER!"
That was my cue to pick something and go rent it. Instead, I looked around like everybody else in the store going, "Who's Amber? Anybody seen her?" Trying to act like it wasn't me he was talking to. lol

it is kind of funny how you deal with the situation then, amber. i couln't have done that at all. my father is such a disciplinarian. but i like to hear about parents and children so closely knit.

my mother can talk on hours on the street if she meets an old friend. it is very annoying. once, she met a classmate of my sister's. she was bragging about how my sister is top 1 in the bar examinations. i was really embarrassed about it. although it is true that my sister passed the bar examinations, she was not teh top 1, she was just among the passers of the exams. and to think that that friend is also a lawyer. i know by her facial expression, that she knows the true picture. i had to tell my mother never to do it again.
