I would definitely NOT have dinner with my most recent boss. I would be happy to never see her again. I dont mean this in a viscious way, but you know what I mean, right?

It def. depends on your relationship with your boss. If you two are like friends then I think it would be fine to have dinner with them, not at all akward. If they are strictly business with you I think it would be a little strange to have dinner with them.

I agree with lylyofthethorns, it really depends on what kind of relationship you have with your boss. Sometimes, our boss is like our buddy so you might not feel awkward having dinner with him/her at your house. But most of the time, we feel uncomfortable especially if the boss seems a serious man/woman and highly regards on business matters only.

I have had dinner at my bosses house. Twice actually. I didn't think twice about it. I actually had a nice time, both times. I know it can seem imtimidating at first, but it was all that much when I got there. So no I feel perfectly comfortable.

No! I dont think that the official dinners or even casual ones are possible. There is allways hierarchy what we will keep and this makes the dinner useless.

I have no problem having dinner at my bosses house. I have had dinner at a few of my old bosses homes in the past, but of course I've always liked my bosses. If however it was a boss I didn't care for.. well that might be a little tough. I would probably go, as not to offend the person.

LOL...I feel the same way about my ex boss! I wouldn't have that woman to my house for dinner for anything. I hope never to have to run into her again actually.=)

Its funny that we both feel the same way about our ex-boss', and they are both women. Ive always found it better to have a man for a boss. I think women tend to CLASH sometimes. Know what I mean?

Definitely! I've only had female bosses and I couldn't stand either of them. Females are difficult creatures.:)

Sure! My boss and I get along great. We just had a yard sale together this past weekend. She isn't pushy and she never breathes down my neck. I consider her a friend even though we rarely talk outside of work. She is about 20 years older then me so we don't have a lot in common but she is nice and we get along fairly well so I wouldn't have a problem having dinner at her house.

I really think that the relationship btwn you and your boss is awesome! I had a boss like that in the past. She too was 20 - 25 yrs older than me. The thing that made her special was that she never looked down on the people who reported to her. She treated us as her peers and it was evident that respected Way too many bosses are the exact opposite. = (
