anything you eat in excess, be chocolates or not, is bad to our health. dark chocolates are more healthful than the other types. i have posted a discussion about dark chocolates and its health benefits 3 months ago and i would lkike to share it with you as a reference to your topic. here's the link: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/927083.aspx i hope this clears some of your doubts.

haha :) i couldn't care less. I'd eat them even if they weren't healthy! Any doubts however, should be resolved in favor of its effect on our mental health, as eating chocolates helps release endorphins, which pick us up when we're down. It's what I call "happy food", the reason why I can't say no to a bar of chocolate.

Though eating a lot of chocolates increases our chances of getting fat (they have loads of calories), chocolates, are surprisingly healthy (if eaten moderately). Chocolates contain stearic acid, which is a neutral acid, and does not increase bad cholesterol levels at all. It also contains oleic acid which in fact actually increases good cholesterol.

I've heard that as well and I love chocolate. I believe that I read somewhere that it supposed to be the dark chocolate that is really good for but I'm not certain. Unfortunately, the dark chocolate is the one I'm not real fond of but I do eat it sometimes.

I've heard this too! All I know is it keeps my fiance from harm's way at "certain times". Family too. Forget the haters! Chocolate MUST be healthy! Anyone tries to tell me different, it "la la la la la, I can't hear you..." *covers ears*!

there's an anti-oxidant content in chocolates as long as we enjoy eating it in moderation... but if u say eating 2 or more bars per day then wait for the diabetes symptoms on you.

Researchers at Harvard University have carried out experiments that suggest that if you eat chocolate three times a month you will live almost a year longer than those who forego such sweet temptation. But it's not all good news - the Harvard research also suggested that people who eat too much chocolate have a lower life expectancy. Chocolate's high fat content means that excess indulgence can contribute to obesity, leading to an increased risk of heart disease.

For as long as you consume this in moderation all food is healthy and good for our bodies. But once we overeat something that's where the food bacomes bad for us to consume. The rule is eat always in moderation and you're always safe no matter what kind of food your taking in your body.

i eat chocolates when im feeling down and stressed out.. and there is a study that stress is the number 1 producer of Free Radicals in our body, when accumulated it produces cancer cells.. so for a worry free and a cancer free body, just be happy, or eat chocolate.. coz personally when i eat chocolate, i get a feeling of contentment and it makes me happy..^_^
