Okay my husband is in the Air Force and is on 12 hour shifts for the next two weeks. It wouldn't be so bad but he is on the 7pm-7am shift!! How sh*tty is that?? So I will be sleeping on the couch because I can't sleep in our bed without him. And I will be scared all night being home alone with my kids. He will be sleeping all day so I will have to try and keep my kids quiet. How easy is it to keep a 2-year old little boy quiet?? Well my little boy is loud all the time so it won't be easy!! This sucks!! No question, just wanted to get my frusterations out =)

Hope your husband is a heavy sleeper because trying to keep a two year old quiet is almost impossible. I have four kids and trying to keep any of them quiet is impossible. I hope that things will get better and maybe your husband could get a shift at day time later on.

It's NOT EASY!!! I hated this, last year my hubby was on mid's and 12 hour shifts for 3 months. He worked 5pm-5am. He'd come home and we would be getting u pfor the day! I hated it. Then I had to keep a 4 year old and an infant (10 mos i think?) quiet so he could sleep, that was like impossible. Then he would wake up at like 2pm and it was soon time for him to leave again..ahhh. we had lots of disagreements during those days. Good luck, I tried to take my kids out to the park alot to keep the house quiet.

My husband is on 12 hour shifts also because they are on shut down at his job and they will be on that shift until all the work that is on the schedule is completed. He works from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. I wouldn't like it if he worked night shift like your husband does. I would sleep on the couch too if I could go to sleep. I am scared when I am home alone at night with my daughter too. too much crap happens around here, especially when he isn't home. I know how hard it is to keep a little one quiet when someone is trying to sleep too.

Yep I do know how you feel and it really sucks, my partner has done 12 hour shifts for the last 4 years or so and it just sucks!!! I absolutely hate it, we have a 7 1/2 year old daughter and I have to try to keep her quiet if he is asleep during the day and that isnt easy, so most of the time i have to go out which sucks even more as I just cant stay at home and do what I want to do!!! I guess at least you only have to put up with it for 2 weeks be thankful for that!!! Sorry to take my frustrations out on you but at least you will know how I feel!!!
