Update on my Hip

I went to see the Specialist yesterday
He checked me over and has come to the Conclusion that he does not believe the Pain is actually from the Hip
I was involved in a bad Car Accident 14 years ago which caused me a bad Back Injury and it seems that I have kept something there for Life even though I was told at the time I would not
Well anyway he checked my back out and a couple of Places where he gently pressed hurt
He said that he is quite sure that it is my Back, so I have to go for Physiotherapy and see how that works if it works I will also have to have Steriod Injections and see if that will work if not then he will look at other Treatments for me
So that is the Update for now
I know I am not here a lot at the moment but I am not to good right now and I have been doing some work on Gissi Web and a few other things I am working on

Hi Gabs I hope the physyotherapy helps you. And the steriod injections I have had them before and they did help me but they dont last. Thats the only problem. Well sweets I miss alot. I really miss watching Gissi my little buddy. I hope you feel better. Hugs and love to you and kiss Gissi for me.

Sweetie if you go in Gissi's web you have a link there where all his Videos are it is one link and you just go to the next when you have watched one
I hope that this treatment will help me to but I will see

Hello dearie. I'm missing your presence here. I have not been active myself too. I'm quite recovering well though.
Have you asked your your doctor for some good supplement for you to take. I'm real concern for you and somehow, I feel that taking extra supplements can help you. Please keep on updating us. I feel better that you are still holding up yourself well. "hugz and kisses"

Don't you just love it when they don't bother to tell you everything? Or they say it will be short term and it's not? Believe me I understand. I was in a car accident about 14 years ago and they told me I reached a point as good as I'm going to get but they never bothered to tell me that I'd slowly go down hill. Got to love that one.
I feel for you with all this though. I have back and hip injuries and I know how painful they can be. I wish you luck with the PT and the shots. I do hope they help. I know my sister was doing the shots for a while and they did help at times and PT can help as well so hopefully things will get better soon for you.

I can well imagine how annoyed you are because I have been in that spot as well and been just as annoyed, irritated and frustrated. Just try not to over do, I know sometimes easier said then done but you don't want to make it worse.

That is good and bad news.Good that your hip is ok but bad if it's your back.Some of my pain is from my old back injury and it will never go away.I've been to physicaltherapy,chiropractor,maggage therapist,reiki,myo facial therapy...You name it and I've done it.It gets better then it gets worse.It's just always there!

I am so pleased that this is a long term thing and not another new "nasty" developing. I hate to say "I told you so" but if you remember I did say it was your back, but I thought it was from that bad fall you had in the kitchen, not from all those years ago.
It is bad enough, I know, and I am so sorry it will not clear up quickly, but it is a lot better than having a crumbling hip, so sort of good?

I still thought it was back and am really relieved it is not a serious bone condition. That fall could still have aggravated the injury. You don't have any padding to cushion yourself when you fall, so you do yourself more damage.

I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave over you and take away all your pain. But I don't, so all I can do is be here for you and hope that the treatment makes your pain better. I think about you all the time Gabs and I miss seeing you around lately but I understand.

My mom had problems with her elbow and shoulder when Arthritis set in, and although I know it's not quite the same thing, her doctor too sent her for Physiotherapy and steroid injections.
Bearing in mind that my mom couldn't lift her arm, and couldn't even get dressed without help. The physio and the steroid injections worked a treat and she's doing much better these days.
Take your time and don't worry about us here at Mylot, we all know you're having problems and we'll still be here when you're well enough to be back with us.
Just pop your head in from time to time to let us know how you're doing.

I'll have to go to your website...uh, excuse me ....Gissi's LOL--We all do miss you're presence here--it's just not the same...I'll send prayers you're way for healing...have you ever tried something like acupunture?? I've heard it can do minor miracles for all sorts of health problems--just a thought---give Gissi a hug for me..oaky??

Weemam do not worry you have a lot yourself to deal with so do not worry I will be fine you look after yourself there you do not need me on your Worries to I have dealt with a lot and I am sure I can deal with this to, just everything happening at once again and not doing me much good lol Love you xxxxxxx

I don´t know if I should congratulate you to the fact that it´s not your hip, but your back.
I just hope you´re not going through too much pain, dear. Hopefully they are going to find a treatment that works for you soon.
The positive thing I can see is that you don´t have to undergo surgery.

Both my doctor and my chiropractor recommend me taking B6, 400 mg divided for two weeks, then cut to 200mg, divided. I do 100 mg daily now. It seems to really help with pain in muscles and joints. So do magnesium and calcium, which relax muscles. I turned down steroids, that is when doctor came up with this. He also has me buy a cream with capsaicin pepper oil) in it for topical treatment. Physiotherapy probably will also be of great help. All of this, even steroids, is probably better than having a hip replaced.

I sure hope everything works for you. Let me know how it does. I am having a lot of back pain and have thought about the injections. But with no insurance at the moment I just cant have them. So please keep me updated and I wish you the very best. I hope it takes away all your pain.
