Do you think before you speak, here on mylot?

i think in the same time when i write, ideas come up fast :)

It depends on what is the question ask.

I believe that I think too much. It takes me 'forever' to respond to a post and to come up with a discussion is another story, in itself. I spend a lot of time re reading before posting to make sure what I have written is right.

I usually think through what I want to say and I try to keep certain identifiers out of my postings so that no one can trace the people I may be talking about. And I try to be as concise as I can be so there is little confusion about what I'm saying. I also try to remember that there are people who use English as a second language and may not understand certain figures of speech or references. I do find that I often don't preview my response well enough and find typos AFTER I post. And sometimes I will think of something I left out that I meant to say, so I go back and add a comment. I can think of only one thing that I have written that I regretted. I was using sarcasm and the person took what I said literally. She took offense and I certainly didn't intend to offend her.

i tend to say things before i think it through so its a good thing im typeing because then i think it over and type the write thing!

Hi Jennifer, I think this is a very good question. I have to say I do always think before I respond. My motto in life is to always treat others the way that I want to be treated. I would like to think people think before they respond to my discussions as well..or what is the point really. I can honestly say I have not regretted anything I have said on Mylot. cheers,

NO I don't think before I speak neither on mylot nor in my real life. Actually I think those who think before speaking anything are very manipulative and I am not that much manipulative ,I just speak whatever is in my mind and heart. Due to this sometimes I have also hurt some ppl around me but I cann't change my self.

If the topic is really hard and cannot be answered in one shot, i do think for sometime and if the topic is not hard and if i feel that topic is worth commenting and at that time it is really easy for me as i go on writing what i know and share my views

if all could that..... no one would do any mistakes and no betryal at all.........! it will purify the mankind..... but to me.. without those things, life is nothing... you should ve all kinds of emotions, because we are all after all human beings.....!

I can't say that I have ever regretted sharing my opinion on Mylot, however I sometimes wonder how others will perceive what I say. We should all be free to have our own viewpoints, but to be able to accept other's points of view and to be reasoned enough to articulate our differences. I do think before I post on here for those very reasons, plus it is not always easy to get across your views on sensitive discussions without thinking about what you are saying and how others may feel when reading such comments.

Till now I haven't disclosed my personal identitiy here on mylot, but neither have I ever discussed about anything explicit from my life. I have always kept my deep secret life a secret and thats how I am and I think it even suits me as well. But ya I do feel the freedom here to discuss things that I can't express in the open. And so due to all of the above reasons I have never regretted saying anything here. Neither do I think I will in future. Any ways Take Care

Sometimes I will type what comes in my mind, especially when making a respond. Of course, i will type it in much more gentle way, especially if what I said it against the other people's opinions. I don't want to offense other people without thinking what I am write down in here. But when making a new discussion, i will thought about it first. Quite long though, because I need to find exact or right words to describe my discussions.

i think before i type the words i wanna speak of here in myLot. it's time consuming but it makes me feel like i did the right thing. before replying, i even read the discussions/topics well first. then, i think if i really can relate to the discussion. it's difficult to give out proper responses when you can't even get the thought of the whole message. if, i am sure of what to say, i type it down and i feel happy about it... anne

I have ALWAYS thought before I speak! I am somewhat like a Dr. Phil, covering the issues, finding out the right answers, figuring out what can go wrong if I said the wrong thing, and all the while trying not to hurt people in the process! Sometimes I mess up but what the heck, I am only human!

Well, usually when i communicate i am always putting some amount of thought into what I am saying, but it's not like I necessarily pore over my every word or thought. Sometimes I do just like to be silly or shocking or say something off-the-wall, but even this sort of communication has its purpose to me, something I am trying to accomplish by it. And then of course, there is the matter of flow. Sometimes things just flow easily, the thoughts come, the words come and it's not like you're really THINKING about it, but it just seems right and feels right so you just communicate it without even being aware of it really or thinking about it.

Some discussions provoke me to think more. Other replies come spontaneously. It happens sometimes later to want to add something or to miss something.

Never I think...ahahah... no, generally I think :-)
